INSTRUCTIONS This application is for students, age 24 and older (or who will be age 24 at the time of enrollment), who intend to complete an undergraduate degree at DePaul University and meet the criteria below for adult undergraduate admission. DePaul admits adult undergraduate students each quarter to all university schools and colleges except The Theatre School and the School of Music (fall admission only). Please refer to the Application Deadlines and Additional Requirements section for details. DePaul University encourages you to apply online for only $25 at go.depaul.edu/apply. The paper application fee is $40. By applying online, you are assured timely counseling, placement and registration services. Applications received after the published deadlines will be considered on a space-available basis until the first day of class. ADULT UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS Consideration for adult admission is based on students, age 24 and older (or who will be age 24 at the time of enrollment), who fall into any of the following categories: 1. Students who have been away from school for several years and have never enrolled in college. Students who have never enrolled in college must submit an official high school transcript or official GED score report.* 2. Students who have completed less than 12 semester (16 quarter) hours of transferable credit. Students must submit an official high school transcript or official GED score report and official transcripts from all institutions attended to be considered for admission. 3. Students who have completed a minimum of 12 semester (16 quarter) hours of transferable credit. Adult students who have completed a minimum of 12 semester (16 quarter) hours of transferable credit must submit official transcripts from all institutions attended. APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS Complete the Adult Undergraduate Application. 1. All prospective students with international educational credentials or who reside outside the U.S. and need a student visa should complete the Application for International Student Admission. Visit go.depaul.edu/apply to apply online.** 2. Students who are applying for non-degree status and do not intend to earn a degree at DePaul should complete the online non-degree application at go.depaul.edu/apply.*** 3. If you have previously enrolled at DePaul University, you should submit the online returning application at go.depaul.edu/apply. Attach your $40 non-refundable application fee (check or money order made payable to DePaul University). All applicants must submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended (regardless of grades or amount of credit earned or attempted). You must be in good standing (eligible to return if desired) at the last college or university attended. Official transcript(s) can be sent to electronictranscripts@depaul.edu. Adult applicants who have never enrolled in college or completed fewer than 12 semester (16 quarter) hours must submit an official high school transcript or official GED score report. Official transcript(s) can be sent to electronictranscripts@depaul.edu. Students applying to the School for New Learning (SNL) with any college coursework do not need to submit high school information. Submit the application, all required documents and the application fee to: Office of Admission, 1 East Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, IL 60604-2287. * Official records include original documents in a sealed envelope mailed directly from the institution or testing agency to the Office of Admission. Opened documents, computer printouts from student accounts, faxes or photocopies are not considered official and cannot be used for admission evaluation. DePaul University APPLICATION DEADLINES AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS DePaul strongly encourages students to file an application as early as possible during the priority filing period. DePaul admits students on a rolling, or continuous, basis. However, you are encouraged to apply early to allow adequate time for reviewing and processing your application. Applications postmarked during the priority filing period also may receive earlier access to orientation scheduling, advising, placement testing and financial aid consideration. Supporting documents, such as transcripts requested from colleges attended, may take several weeks to arrive. Please allow plenty of time for schools to process your request. After the application deadline, DePaul will consider applications on a space-available basis until the first day of class. Official transcripts from each college or university you have attended (including your present college through the most recent term) must arrive at the Office of Admission by the application deadline. If you are currently enrolled in a college, a final transcript will be required at the completion of your current term. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION There are limits to the amount of transfer coursework that can be applied to your degree. You may transfer a maximum of 66 semester (99 quarter) hours from two-year institutions and a maximum of 88 semester (132 quarter) hours from four-year institutions. The Theatre School and the School of Music require auditions, interviews or portfolio reviews as part of the admission process. Admission to these schools is granted for the fall quarter only. Students must submit their application and schedule an audition or portfolio review/interview by December 1 (for the School of Music) or January 15 (for The Theatre School).
