The self-serve portal is designed to allow you to change your password and unlock your locked account even if you have forgotten your password. You must enroll for this service to be able to use it. You only need to enroll once. How do I enroll in the password portal? To enroll for the first time, you need to click this link https://account.tridenttech.edu which will take you to the password portal enrollment website. The screenshots below walk you through the steps you need to perform to register for this service. 1- Enter your domain login account and password (screen below). 2- Enter the randomly generated characters displayed in green. 3- Click the button. Once you login, the system will display the welcome screen seen below. Click on the Click Here link to proceed.
The registration screen will now be displayed (below). You will have a total of three questions. Two questions you will select from the drop down list and a third question you have to create. Provide the answers you want the system to remember. If you wish to verify that you typed your answers correctly, you may uncheck the Hide Answer(s) checkbox. Once done, click the Enroll button. Please note: You cannot choose the same question more than once. Answers are case sensitive. A confirmation will be displayed. You are now registered to use the system. You may now exit the program by clicking Sign Out or close your browser.
How do I change my password? To change your password, you must have previously registered to use the system. If you have never registered and you need to change your password, you must call the helpdesk at 843.574.6801. If you have previously registered, please follow these steps to change your password. Click the password portal link https://account.tridenttech.edu to start. Enter your username, password and the randomly displayed green text as seen below then click.
Once you login, you will be presented with the screen below. Enter your old password and the new password you want to use and click OK. A popup screen (shown below) will display successful password change (click signout and close browser). or a failed password change (click the red X and try the operation again.
How do I reset my password? To reset your forgotten password, you must have previously registered to use the system. If you have never registered and you need to change your password, you must call the helpdesk at 843.574.6801. If you have previously registered, please follow these steps to reset your password. Click the password portal link https://account.tridenttech.edu to start. Click the on the main password portal screen. The reset pssword screen below will be displayed. Enter your username then click continue. You will be presented with two of the questions you chose when you enrolled in the system Provide the answers to these questions using the exact answers you provided during enrollment. Answers are case sensitive. Enter the randomly generated green text and click
Once your answers and identity are verified, you will be presented by the screen below to provide your new password. Once you enter your new password and the randomly generated green text, click the Reset Password button. Please note: this part of the process times out in 5 minutes from displaying this screen. (See screen shot below). A confirmation screen will be displayed (below). You may now close your browser.
How do I unlock my account? To unlock your account, you must have previously registered to use the system. If you have never registered and you need to change your password, you must call the helpdesk at 843.574.6801. If you have previously registered, follow the steps below to unlock your account. Click the password portal link https://account.tridenttech.edu to start. Click the on the main password portal screen. Enter your user name then click continue (below).
You will be presented with two of the questions you chose when you enrolled in the system. Answer these questions using the exact answers you provided during enrollment. Answers are case sensitive. Click Unlock Account to confirm operation. Your account is now unlocked and you will be able to log into the system. Please note: you will see the warning message below if you attempt to unlock your account and it is not locked.
How do I reset my password if I can t even login? When Windows boots up and you see the CNTRL-ALT-DEL screen prompt to login, you will also see a link at the bottom of that screen that reads Reset Password/Unlock Account. See images below. You must have previously registered for this feature to work. If you have never registered with this system, you must call the helpdesk at 574.6801 for help with resting your password.
