P0470 GENERAL BUSINESS TERM 3 & 4 NICOLE (Niagara College Online Enrollment) INSTRUCTIONS Navigation to Customize Your Timetable: Log into mync.niagaracollege.ca > My Student Records > My Timetable and Grades > Select/Manage Timetable The General Business program, in the second year, is a combination of required courses, general education electives and business options. To accommodate this flexible program, you are not required to pick a timetable block, but go directly to Customize Your Timetable. The ***Note*** at the bottom of your screen will tell you your required course(s). This may change from year to year and may differ from what is shown on the example below. STEP 1 Click on Customize Your Timetable Nothing shows yet, as you haven t picked any courses.
STEP 2 Click on Enroll in a Course STEP 3 Pick your required courses from this list first (example BUSN1247). Click on the Course Code.
STEP 4 Click on Enroll in this Class. You may or may not have a choice of more than one class. This example below shows two choices of BUSN1247. STEP 5 Make sure you confirm YES to actually be enrolled. STEP 6 Once you confirm this course enrolment (by clicking on Yes), click on Back to course list > Enroll in a Course to pick your next course. STEP 7 Once you have enrolled in all your required courses, you must pick one course from the list as your General Elective. This must be a non-business related course. Note you may have to scroll to see all the available choices. In this example, Joe wants to take Acting for Life. For online courses, please change campus to Off Campus or Online.
STEP 8 Click on Enroll in this Class. Make sure you click Confirm YES when prompted. STEP 9 Click on Back to course list to select your business options. STEP 10 Click on Enroll in a Course. You have now enrolled in your required course(s) and your general education elective. You must now select 2 business options (2 courses at 6 credits) STEP 11 - After you have selected 2 business options, you must pick 1 course (3 credits) more in term 03 and you must pick 2 courses (6 credits) more in term 04. These can either be a business option or another general elective (same instructions as Step 6 thru 10). Add your courses in the priority that you wish to take them, as some classes will conflict with each other. Note some courses may not be available to select if you have not met the prerequisite, if you are
already enrolled or if the course is now full or in conflict with another course. Some classes from year 1 have been included in the list, for those who are required to retake these courses. For on-line courses, change campus to Off Campus or Online. HIST1104, HIST1185 and HIST1398 are Niagara College on-line courses and there are no additional fees. For Distance Learn courses, you will be responsible for an additional on-line fee that is assessed (see niagaracollege.ca/fees). For Distance Learn courses, please go to niagaracollege.ca/distance for additional instructions. Some courses have additional material fees and will display here as well (if applicable). You are responsible for these additional material fees. FINAL - Once you have completed your program choices, make sure the total credits you have enrolled in match the Credit Requirement. What if the course I want to take isn t available via the Niagara College Online Enrolment (NICOLE) site? To add courses outside of those offered via NICOLE (Niagara College Online Enrolment), access the Change of Courses Form online (niagaracollege.ca/myncforms) or hard copy within the Registrar s Office. You must first talk to your Student Advisor, and in some cases, the Associate Dean of the Division that hosts the course you wish to take, to sign you into the course. You will then have to bring the course change form to the Registrar s Office. Please remember to bring your Student ID card or other photo ID. Continuing Education (night school) or Distance Learn classes do not require a signature, but you may want to check with your Student Advisor to ensure the course is acceptable for your program. A complete list of courses offered is available under Schedule of Courses. Make sure you select the correct term.
