Project Description The East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) publishes the Regional In Nature Activity Guide (RIN) six times per year and distributes primarily through insertion into numerous local newspapers and also via an East Bay mailhouse. EBRPD has tight performance requirements, including superior customer support, tight 4/C registration on press, and consistent, on-time delivery to the various delivery locations. This bid request concerns the six issues that will be published in 2015. Provide: Item 1--Cost for printing, storage, and delivery, per thousand, for the quantity ranges noted below. See below for printing specifications, and see the following pages for storage concerns and delivery locations. Note that heat-set press is required. and Item 2)--Cost for printing, storage, delivery per thousand for the total quantity ranges noted below, and insertion (per thousand) INTO YOUR PUBLICATION(s) (if applicable), inserting into the same zones or zip codes per your 2014 agreement with EBRPD. See below for printing specifications and the following pages for storage concerns and delivery locations. Note that heat-set press is required. and Item 3)--Cost for INSERTION ONLY (per thousand) into your newspaper(s) into the same zones or zip codes per your 2014 distribution agreement with EBRPD. and Item 4--Value added to your proposal(s), if any, such as free or reduced-cost print/web advertising or advertising campaign, and/or event promotion/marketing. Printing Specifications Size/color/bleed/folds/binding/number pages: --six issues of 16 pages each --21 inches x 11 inches --fold to 10 1/2 x 11 --approx 57,000 are quarter-folded to 10 1/2 x 5 1/2 --4-color process color --no bleed --no binding --Live image area TBD per your requirements. Quantity printed six times per hear: Provide a per-thousand cost for the following ranges: 550,000-600,000 600,001-650,000 Stock: 32# 72 highbrite PROVIDE A SAMPLE printed on this stock that has been printed on the heat-set press you intend to use for this agreement. Storage: The six PDF submission dates and tab insertion dates noted on the next page are proposed; the selected Printer and EBRPD will negotiate actual to-press and insertion dates that will satisfy the needs of EBRPD based on previously negotiated insertion dates and storage capabilities of inserting newspapers, and storage capabilities and mailing dates of the mailhouse. The Printer will be required to warehouse a certain quantity (currently ~61,000) of printed RINs for approximately 7 days from the to-printer dates prior to shipping to three locations, and the remainder for approximately 15 additional days prior to shipping to the remaining 9 insertion locations.
