TULSA April 2014 Vol. 14, No. 4 I hope everyone enjoyed the anniversary celebration of 58 years for EWI of Tulsa. At our March meeting, we were educated by Tulsa s own past presidents who empowered us to persevere when faced with challenges and encouraged us with their triumphs. At the end of the evening as each one gave an account of her year and the success she achieved, it was interesting to see how all described in one unified voice the benefits of EWI and what a powerful impact it has made on each of their lives. Words that were repeated by all and are part of Executive Women International: Leadership Opportunities Involvement Support Encouragement Mentoring Professionalism A Letter from Our President... Thank you Roberta Montgomery (Helmerich & Payne), Rita Young (The William K. Warren Foundation), Pat Desormeau (Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance), Linda Safley (formerly represented Alliance Data Systems), and Jessica Bolen (Montereau) for sharing your EWI story. Past presidents are often referred to as the Has Beens. I am looking forward to a successful year and will be honored to be considered a Has Been. I will see you in April as we continue to Tap Into Success at the Sky Loft Event Center and enjoy the evening as we listen to Marcia MacLeod. The month of April also brings Spring Conference. This year s conference is nestled in the scenic Pacific Northwest, where attendees will enjoy inspiring leadership training while having the chance to explore the vibrant and historic city of Spokane.
