Alongside Hospitality, Food and Travel, four keys areas of expertise have also been identified to become the new ESSEC Centers of Excellence: Management and Society, Business Analytics, Luxury, and Entrepreneurship. The Center of Excellence in Hospitality, Food and Travel aims at further developing the ESSEC IMHI brand in these sectors and will be responsible for: - Developing partnerships with companies and schools - Administering existing programs and developing new educational solutions - Support academic and applied research - Manage Alumni relations Scope of the IMHI Center of Excellence The IMHI Center of Excellence will continue to manage and develop its current activities, but will also expand its portfolio in education, research and services to the Hospitality, Food and Travel industries. The scope of the Center will include: Initial education: IMHI MBA in Hospitality Management and development of a new Master in Food Business (likely in collaboration with another School). Continuing education: 10 existing modules leading to two Advanced Certificates, three internal programs with Accor, Kempinski and Louvre Hotels Group, and the development of a modular Executive Master's program. Open Lab: Supporting and accompanying start-ups from the ESSEC Ventures incubator and other industry-related innovative companies (e.g. Mama Street Bangkok, Till System and Touch and Play). The Open Lab will also develop new educational content (e.g. MOOC on Demand Management in collaboration with SnapShot). CHIEF: The "Collaborative Hub for Innovation, Education and Foresight" will provide three services: 1) A series of foresight

and policy reports on trends affecting hospitality, travel and food businesses (applied research and open lab); 2) A filtering system identifying potential innovations for hospitality, food and travel businesses (innovation days and open lab); 3) Educational and advisory services to instill innovation within corporations (boot camps, applied research, coaching). Research: Coordination and promotion of collaborative research efforts with other Hotel Schools and Universities. As the Center develops, we will make sure to keep you up-to-date and involved. Sincerely, Nicolas Graf, Ph.D. Associate Professor Director ESSEC-IMHI Center of Excellence in Hospitality, Food & Travel ESSEC Business School 2015 ESSEC Hospitality Executive Education We are pleased to confirm that the 2015 ESSEC Advanced Certificates in Hospitality Online Distribution and in Hospitality Finance & Real Estate, will take place at our Paris La Défense campus from 16 to 28 march 2015. Those two certificates are made up of four modules, which may also be taken separately by participants with specialized interests. Two additional modules are also available on a stand alone basis: Managing Change and Luxury Hospitality Management. Each module is from 1,5 to 3 days. These courses focus on the development needs of middle to senior-level operational and corporate managers. The 2014 Hospitality Executive Education short courses were a great success! 29 professionals participated in 8 short courses (2.5 days) over 2 weeks, of which 14 received an ESSEC Advanced Certificate in Hospitality Finance & Real Estate or Online Distribution. His honesty, humility, and soft-spoken demeanor were appreciated by the students and a welcome touch in our fast-paced industry. IMHI students enjoyed the opportunity to learn not only about the Peninsula Paris and the Peninsula Group, but also about Mr. Béliard's perspective on leadership. ESSEC Food Club 4th November 2014 The new ESSEC Food Club had a successful second event, at the newly-opened Burger King Alésia. Jocelyn Olive E05, Director General of Burger King, presented the revival of the Burger King brand, which has been absent in France for 15 years and whose come back is making a buzz. 20 new restaurants have already opened, with 60 expected by the end of 2015. The ESSEC Food Club was created on the initiative of Aurélie de Royer E10, Director of the Professional Training Centre of L'atelier des Chefs. Half of the event's participants were IMHIs, who all share the same passion for food in their professional life.

François GALOISY H85 has been promoted General Manager for the Radisson Blu Hotel at Sohar in the Sultanate of Oman. François is preparing the opening of the latest Radissonblu in the region. Prior to that François was the General Manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dubai Media City and previously General Manager for the Park Inn by Radisson in Muscat. Prior to join Radisson, François has an extensive experience in F&B with leading hospitality groups like Swissôtel, One & Only, Shangri-La and Méridien. Pierre Marie VASSEUR H87 has been appointed General Manager of the Al Areen Palace & Spa in Bahrain. Prior to that Pierre Marie worked 6 years for the Grand Heritage Group in the Emirates including the last four years as General Manager. For the 10 first years of his careers Pierre Marie worked in various companies as Director of Sales & Marketing. Nathalie GACON H87 has taken new responsibilities, since August 2014, she is General Manager of the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel of Colombes. For two and half years Nathalie was General Manager of the Courtyard Saint Denis hotel, and spent 9 months managing 2 Courtyard hotels. This new assignment is a great challenge with many opportunities to grow the business. Madeleine PAULY MARX H87 has joined the Scandic Hotels chain as General manager for hotel Emporio in Hamburg. Prior to that Madeleine spent more than 10 years as General Manager in several Marriott properties in Hamburg. Sten CARLER H87 has been appointed Distribution Manager North Europe NOHA NORWAY AS. Noha is part of SK Firesafety Group. SK FireSafety Group specializes in the design, production, distribution, service and after-sale support of Fire Fighting Products and Projects. The company offers a range of equipment, including hose reel and cabinets, extinguishers, monitors, detection, deluge, foam and gaseous suppression systems and much more. The company's customers include oil and gas companies, airports, governmental, and military organizations worldwide. Christine BOE H89 has been promoted Divisional Finance Manager at DNV GL based in Oslo, Norway. DNV GL enables organizations to advance the safety and sustainability of their business. Kristin is working since 7 years for this company and prior to that worked at companies like Nemko Norway AS, PWC Consulting, TECO Maritime & Chrystal Cruises. Jean Louis GUILHAMAT H90 has been promoted Director of DTZ Consulting Advising pole for France. Jean Louis joined DTZ in 2013 after six years spent at CBRE as Director Global Corporate Services and previously 9 years with Accenture as Facilities & Services Director France Christophe DESCROIX H90 has been appointed Vice President of Finance Hotels Division at Sunwing Travel Group based in Toronto. Prior to that Christophe worked for 11 years with Melia Hotels from Director of Finance France up to Corporate Administration Vice President. Previously Christophe worked as CFO for Opteaman and Club Med World. Charles RICHEZ H91 has been appointed as General Manager for Hotel Gray D'albion Cannes Lucien Barrière Hotels & Casinos. Prior to that Charles has been working as General Manager at AC MARRIOTT Ambassadeur Juan les Pins & Director of Operation for JW MARRIOTT Cannes for during 7 years. Before joining Marriott for Charles acted as Director of Business Development Paris Cluster, Hilton International from 1998 to 2005. Olivier MENARD H95 has been promoted COO & CFO greater China for the Decathlon Oxylane Group. Olivier entered the group in 1998 after close to 3 years with Accor in Indonesia and since then has climbed the career ledder through Real Estate and Financial functions with the Decathlon Oxylane Group in various locations. Elodie MIYET H97 has been appointed Sales & Marketing Director Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France. Elodie actually worked previously for the same hotel that was bought in 2013 by LVMH and close presently to be rebranded as Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France. Reopening is planned for October 2014. Since her graduation Elodie left for St-Barth where she worked first at hôtel Guanahani & Spa and then at Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France. Karim EL ASMAR H97 has recently opened Morenito Cantina del Barrío restaurant in Beirut.
