page 3/6 INTRODUCTION This guide contains instructions on how to send an SMS via Email using any email client. There are two methods available, send a single SMS or send bulk/multiple SMS s from one email account. Email to SMS Prerequisite 1. An email client 2. For security reasons, only one email address can be authorised to send Email to SMS requests for an SMS account. configure this please follow the procedure provided in the How to Register section. HOW TO REGISTER register a new email address (or change the registered email address) please send an email to register@ mymobileapi.com as specified below. The email must be addressed to register@mymobileapi.com, contain the subject line (as shown below) and must be sent from the email address you would like to register. A response reflecting the success of the registration process will be sent once the process is completed. Email Field Subject Body Description Your email address The address must be register@mymobileapi.com. Options: All options must be separated by braces. [un=myusername] Your portal username [pw=mypassword] Your portal password Example of a correctly formatted email subject line: [un=xxx][pw=123]
page 4/6 Example of registration The subject line contains the required information, un and pw, while the email is addressed to register@ mymobileapi.com, and sent from the email address you would like to use. All emails must be addressed to <mobilephonenumber>@mymobileapi.com and must contain the subject line, have a from email address and contain a message Email Field Subject Body B Description Your email address The address must start with a mobile number and contain the domain in the address. E.g. 0721234567@mymobileapi.com. Only one email address will be accepted. The subject must contain your account password. The message you wish to send to the mobile phone. This can be in plain text or HTML. All html tags will be stripped from the message and only the text will be sent.
