Knowledge for today s BUSINESS environment The Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (Cfab) will give you practical and essential knowledge that can be used in any industry or financial arena. The certificate is made up of six modules: Business and Finance; Management Information; Accounting; Law; Assurance; and Principles of Taxation. These are the same six modules as the first stage of ICAEW s leading business and finance qualification, the ACA. Who is CFAB ideal for? CFAB is the perfect choice, whether you are: seeking general knowledge in finance, accounting and business; considering accountancy or finance as a career; studying for a degree or undertaking an internship, summer break or a gap year; working in, or supporting a professional or financial service firm or the public sector; in a senior non-finance role with a need to understand the fundamentals of finance; keeping your career options open; or returning to work. SUPPoRT while you study We have a wide range of services and resources to help you while you study for CFAB. Find out more at icaew.com/cfabambition After one year of studying for CFAB, I can actually see the bigger picture of the business world and I ve also learnt a lot about myself. I believe CFAB will be my next ticket for my journey into the competitive business world and one step closer to ICAEW membership. Adam Malik Sunway University College Student, Malaysia Advance your career

STUdYINg for CFAB offers many benefits Study at your own pace, using the method of learning that suits you (classroom tuition, self-study or distance learning). Credit for prior learning is available for up to five modules (the Accounting module is compulsory). With these credits, it may only take a few months for you to complete CFAB. Without credits, CFAB is achievable in less than 12 months. CFAB could be used as a stepping stone to the ACA and a successful career in finance, accounting and business. The computer-based assessments can be taken at any time of year and at assessment centres around the world. Gain broad knowledge in finance, accounting and business that is relevant to a wide range of careers and sectors. There are no formal academic entry requirements to study for CFAB. Modules can be taken in any order, either to suit your work commitments or personal preference. On successful completion of CFAB, you will receive a certificate of achievement from ICAEW, a world-class professional accountancy body. Fast icaew.com/cfab track your career

CHooSE WHAT WORKS FOR YOU CFAB is a popular choice with both individuals and employers because of the study options and flexibility to complete the modules in any order and at a speed that suits you. Depending on your preferred learning style and existing commitments, you can choose a method of learning that really works for you. Learning OPTIONS Classroom tuition Distance learning Blended learning Self study Delivered in a classroom environment where you will have the opportunity to network with like-minded peers and ask questions of experienced tutors. Tuition is available in many countries around the world. If you are unable to attend classes, but would value the support of a tutor and peer-to-peer learning, distance learning uses a mixture of tutor sessions and self-study support. You can choose to undertake a mixture of learning options on a module-by-module basis, depending on how much support you feel you need. If you prefer, you can study the CFAB modules on your own, using the ICAEW learning materials that are available directly from our distributors. Please visit icaew.com/cfablearning to find out more about these study options. ASSESSmENT You can take CFAB computer-based assessments at many assessment centres worldwide. There are no set dates, so you can sit them once you are ready. You can choose to sit one assessment at a time, or group them together. The assessment for each module lasts one and a half hours and your results will be available 24 hours later. Advance your career

I would definitely consider offering CFAB to our employees and not just to finance staff. It appears to be a very flexible choice of study with the backing of an excellent international reputation. It will give a good level of core finance education which is useful to have whatever your role in an organisation with an option of committing to the full ACA qualification should the student want to do so.
