Developed a data base program for faculty research. Complied, analyzed, and edited the results of faculty research for publication. CHAIRMAN, CONCURENT SESSIONS, ANNUAL AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR ADULT AND CONTINUING EDUCATION CONFERENCE, Washington, D.C. Initiated requests to adult education units for professional papers to be presented at the National Conference. Chaired committee which established criteria for acceptance of 500 professional papers. Reviewed and accepted over 300 papers for formal presentation to the attendees at the annual conference. Developed programs for presentation of papers by their authors, developed and managed the audio-visual requirements for the concurrent sessions; and recruited and coordinated support volunteers. 1979-1981 DIRECTOR OF NURSING Manor Care Nursing Center, Arlington, Virginia Responsible for direction, administration, management and budgeting of 100 employee nursing department in a 183 bed long-term care facility. Established nursing standards and objectives for the Center which was instrumental for George Mason University accepting this facility as a graduate clinical teaching facility. Coordinated educational and recreational programs for the residents based on the needs assessment. Developed educational programs for both the professional and non-professional staff. 1979 ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING Manor Care Nursing Center, Arlington, Virginia Conducted weekly Interdisciplinary Care conferences. During the first four weeks, this includes how to administrate oral medications, put on sterile gloves, change a simple wound care, listen to their own hearts, lungs and abdominal sounds. During the last two weeks students demonstrate the SimMan and Sim Baby and have the students do a return demonstration.
