Awards and Grants Received a grant twice from the Salzburg Seminar in American Studies to contribute to the seminars on American Popular Culture and Politics in 2002 and 2005 in Salzburg, Austria. Received a grant from the State Department USA, within the framework of Women s Leadership and Democracy Building Project, to teach and conduct research in Turkey and USA in collaboration with Kent State University, Ohio in 2005. Received the Alfred Toepfer Eurolecture award to teach as a Guest Professor at Potsdam University, European Media Studies Department, in the summer semester 2011.
