Students will graduate with a Master degree in Sociology from the University of Liège and a Master degree in Immigration Management from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. They will spend a year in each

2 University so that they will get a chance to observe migration and diversity dynamics in two different diverse urban contexts. The programme combines theoretical insights with practical tools and is taught by renown experts and practitioners, in an inter-disciplinary perspective. It includes courses related to the economics, law and sociology of migration. Prospects The programme seeks to train: - Migration experts in NGOs, foundations, development banks and agencies, and other not-for-profit organisations; - Junior professional officers for international institutions such as the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) or the International Labor Office (ILO); - Migration and diversity managers for government, development agencies and local authorities; - Researchers for academic institutions, think-tanks and NGOs; - Specialised journalists and diplomats. Programme Students will spend a year in Barcelona (UPF) and one year in Liège (ULg). Thesis will be valued for 18 (ULg) or 21 (Research Seminars + Thesis) (UPF). Students must have completed 45 in order to access to the second year of the Double Degree.

4 Entry requirements A university degree of minimum 180 (Bachelor and/or Master) in a preferably relevant discipline, such as sociology, political science, human geography law, humanities or health sciences, or plan to graduate no later than on September 1 st of the current year. Proof of English language ability (equivalent to level B2.2) Two relevant and personalized reference letters (one from a migration specialist of practitioner) Sufficient motivation, outlined in a personal letter (written in English). Tuition fees Students pay the tuition fees at the university where they are studying. Indicative rates for : ULg: 835 EUR for EU-EEA students / 835 EUR EUR or 4145 EUR for non EU-EEA students (depending on the country of origin) UPF: 2900 EUR for EU-EEA students / 4064 EUR for non EU-EEA students (check the tuition fees for the year ) Erasmus fellowships are available on a competitive basis.
