Chevron Auditorium (Capacity up to 400) From the Chevron s magnificent wood-beamed ceiling and chandeliers to its full stage, complete with dedicated sound and theater lighting, few Bay Area venues can match this auditorium as a place for conferences, movie showings, weddings, banquets, concerts or other large events. Golub Home Room (Capacity up to 75) The Golub s antique furnishings, grand piano, large decorative fireplace and balcony view of an Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge provide a peaceful atmosphere for buffets, dinners and smaller gatherings. proul Rooms (Capacity up to 80) The adjoining Ida and Robert proul rooms, with their stately décor, are well suited for use as classrooms to deliver lectures or give presentations, or for other small group affairs. ach can hold up to 40 people. olicies & ayment for Use of International House Facilities Reservations & ayments To complete your reservation a signed contract must be received and full payment of the rental estimate must be made within three days of receipt of the contract. Fees include set up times and exclusive use of the designated areas in the building for the time specified. Checks made payable to International House as well as Visa & MasterCard are accepted. Only UC Berkeley Campus departments may use urchase Orders for room rental payments. Any additional charges incurred during an event (catering or tech enhancements, etc.) are due upon event conclusion. Cancellations otice of cancellation must be made in writing. A 35% fee applies to cancellations provided 30 or more days from scheduled date. Full payment must be provided on event rental cancellations made 29 days or less prior to scheduled date. ignage International House has digital and printed signs that reflect our daily event schedules to public visitors. lease review signage plans in advance of your event if you wish to arrange additional signage or customize the language used in Internatioanl House postings. In order to protect the historic building we do not allow signs to be taped or tacked to the doors or walls. Music lease coordinate with our event personnel surrounding plans for amplified music as certain restrictions may apply related to volume, room restrictions, locations and timing. peakers and the provision of musical offerings by CD or internet may also be discussed with staff, though additional modest fees may apply. Decorative lements for vents Confetti and glitter are not permitted and use of balloons may be subject to restrictions. Clients are encouraged to discuss special event decorative concepts with our staff. Alcohol International House maintains an alcohol license that restricts our facility to beer and wine obtained through the International House Catering Department. Unauthorized use of beer, wine, or other liquor at International House entitles staff to terminate an event immediately. Alcohol is not permitted at non-resident, student sponsored events. An elevator is available for guests that use wheelchairs or have other mobility restrictions. Technicians are charged on an hourly basis, with an automatic two-hour minimum per assigned technician for set-up and restoration activities. lease confer with our staff to evaluate if an event safety monitor or UCD security professional will be needed for your event. arking & ublic Transit International House is committed to sustainable practices for a healthier environment and encourages use of public transit when possible. In addition, ample bicycle racks are available for use outside our main entrance. pecial vent arking I-House does not have a public parking lot onsite, although limited spaces in our small staff parking area can sometimes be coordinated in advance for weekend and evening events after 6 pm. For large scale evening & weekend events, valet arrengements are coordinated with UC Berkeley s parking services and utilize nearby campus lots (Boalt, Underhill), with high parking capacity. UCB arking & Transportation can be reached at (510) 642-4283/ pt.berkeley.edu. Large meetings and conferences held at I-House during traditional work hours require pre-purchase of public visitor parking permits and/ or spaces held in advance by reservation from campus. Free treet arking: Free spaces along and adjacent to iedmont have 2 hour maximums Monday-aturday 9am-7pm. Meters: Bancroft Ave. meters accept major credit cards 9am-6pm Monday-aturday. Campus Lots: During traditional work hours, hourly parking, paid in advance Maxwell Garage (#4), on the corner of Gayley and tadium Rim ay, a 3 minute walk from I-House or Underhill Lot (#1) at the corner of Channing & College, a 5-10 minute walk from I-House. After 5pm Monday-Friday and weekends, hourly public parking is available in all campus parking areas unless otherwise indicated. Lots closest to IH are: Boalt Law chool Lot ( #2, behind the building opposite I-House) Kroeber Lot (#3, on Bancroft near College Ave. under tennis courts.) ublic Transit (511.org provides traffic & transportation info) BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) The Downtown Berkeley BART station is closest to I-House but be aware the 20-25 minute walk is on an uphill incline. Taxis are available. Rockridge BART station is convenient by bus transfer to the 51A that runs along College Avenue. Campus huttle (route and stops to I-House indicated on map, right) is located across from Berkeley BART at Center & hattuck in front of Bank of America. The shuttle stops in front of I-House.
