Position Description POSITION TITLE: DEPARTMENT: REPORTS TO: DIRECT REPORTS: Sales Consultant, Fan Relationship Management Centre (FRMC) Marketing, Content and Digital Manager, The National Rugby League Fan Relationship Management Centre N/a PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The National Rugby League has begun to develop a world-class membership and ticket sales force in Sydney, NSW. This is a first of its kind effort and aims to be a landmark program for the NRL. Combining progressive strategies and distinguished execution, the NRL Fan Relationship Management Centre will be led by expert professionals that stand at the top of the ticket sales and customer service industry. Each Sales Consultant will be assigned to one (1) specific NRL club and be directly responsible for generating sales for that club. Key Result Area Major Activities Performance Measure 1. Sales and revenue generation Sales generation for the following inventory: a. Season Membership (new business) b. Group tickets c. Partial/ Mini-Plan ticket packages d. Individual major events as assigned e. Additional items as directed by assigned NRL club Sales to be generated predominately through outbound phone calls. Sales and revenue will also be generated through email marketing, sales specific events and faceto-face appointments. Work all home games, performing various ticket sales and service duties throughout the game. Achievement of sales targets and other relevant agreed KPIs. Stakeholder Feedback Ongoing identification and development of new sales and membership programs and opportunities. 1
2. Operations Maintain records of all prospects and customers within ticketing database. 3. Building and maintaining key relationships Regular reporting Partner and collaborate with peers to leverage existing programs and present an integrated Fan and Members approach, profile and brand. Build rapport with existing connections to maintain networks internally and externally. Liaise with key NRL Club stakeholders 4. Representative Represent the Rugby League at all times internally and externally to promote a positive profile, brand awareness and perception of Rugby League within the community. Recoards and reports complete and accurate Maintains, fosters and leverages key internal and external relationships Public awareness and perception as one unified brand 5. Corporate Governance & Compliance Understand relevant policy and planning to ensure individual compliance. Adhere to existing policies and processes to ensure adequate governance and compliance with company standards and regulations. Compliance with the Australian Rugby League Commission, Australian Sports Commission, State Sports and School organisation, and Local Councils are ensured The whole of game values are upheld Key Challenges The key challenges of the role include meeting weekly and monthly sales goals while exceeding client expectations in value and customer service Key Decision Making Authority The Sales Consultant reports to the Manager FRMC and is responsible for making the day to day decisions relative to their role.
