Loughborough University and people involved A top 10 research-intensive University in England. UK s largest single site campus university. The university has won an unbeaten 5 Queen's Anniversary Prizes for its impact oriented research specially with the aeronautical and automotive industries. Highest spin-out rate (More than 50 start-up businesses) 40 research institutes and centers, and over 100 research groups. More than 5 Million in European Projects last year Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (one of the biggest Departments in the UK with expertise in collaborative manufacturing) Prof. Jenny Harding Professor of Intelligent Manufacturing Knowledge Systems. Over 15 Years of Industrial Experience Expertise: Semantic Web Services in Intelligent Manufacturing, Knowledge discovery and Simulation Modelling and Optimization of manufacturing Networks. Dr. Alok Choudhary School of Business and Economics Expertise: Logistics, Supply Chain, Sustainability and Data Analytics The academics involved are currently leading /participating in 2 EU project and have significant experience with FP5, FP6 and FP7 projects.

Project Vision CLOUDLOG vision is to develop and implement holistic cloud based manufacturing solutions covering the whole value chain to support customer driven production from design to delivery and end of life in a global manufacturing network. CLOUDLOG will be based on co-creative design, collaborative manufacturing and integrated logistics principles, and will look at how 3D printing can contribute to re-shoring of production and reduced environmental impact. CLOUDLOG Focuses on developing a robust, cost efficient, secure, and extensible cloud based Manufacturing as a Service (MaaS) ICT platform for B2B collaborative manufacturing and B2C demand when it comes to low volume, high quality and customized products. It will build upon the recent advances in Factories of the Future projects (e.g. MANCLOUD, MSEE, imadit, FLEXINET, GLONET, Comvantage, Actionplant and Plantcockpit) and take them to the next level of performance, security, dependability, and cost-efficiency. CLOUDLOG emphasis on integrating Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies that allow efficient and sustainable use of materials for building complex geometries, with the rest of the manufacturing ecosystem by means of IoT and Cloud.
