7 DAE Policy objective for the ICT Sector Assure a robust measurement framework to capture energy consumption and GHG emissions of ICT: applicable to the entire ICT industry (very diverse) cover whole supply chain (lifecycle assessment) through international agreement ICT has its own specificities methodologies adapted EC Approach: Working with international standardisation bodies ITU, ETSI, IEC, Working with industry stakeholders Completing and expanding efforts towards a common framework to capture overall impact 7
