However, certain precau.ons apply whenever you operate a piece of exercise equipment such as this. Be sure to read, follow and understand the en.re manual before you operate this machine. Recommended for ages 13+. Proper use instruc.ons (this manual) and adult supervision is recommended for all users. 1. Serious Injury or Death can occur when not properly used. Safe use can only be achieved if the equipment is assembled, maintained and used properly. All users of the equipment must be informed of all warnings and precau.ons. 2. Before star.ng or using this equipment you should consult your doctor to determine if you have any health condi.ons that could create a risk to your health and safety, or prevent you from using the equipment properly. Precau.ons and Safety - CONTINUED- READ THIS FIRST! 7. Warm- up stretching is recommended before exercise. ALWAYS USE GOOD POSTURE 8. DO NOT put hand near pedals, crank arms or any moving parts while in use. 9. Keep pets and young children away from the equipment. 10. Use the equipment on a solid, level surface with a protec.ve cover for your floor or carpet. Keep area clear around pedal area when in use. 11. Never leave the equipment where it can obstruct a walkway. Keep unit out of walkways where it could be tripped over. This can cause injury and/or damage the equipment. 12. When using desk mounted meter stand make sure wire is not sagging under desk. This could allow wire to get caught in pedals and damage wire. Wrap excess wire around meter holder/stand. 13. ALWAYS WEAR APPROPRIATE ATTIRE INCLUDING CLOSED TOE SHOES!!! Do not use while wearing loose shoe strings, long dresses, items that could get caught in rota.ng pedals. 14. FOR USE WHILE SEATED ONLY. STEP #1 Rotate Stabilizer Bar ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Install Stabilizer Bar so wheels are facing front Use nut #28 and washer #29. Tighten. STEP #2 Install Floor Protector Install #5 floor protector plate to Main Frame using hardware in PARTS BAG #1. CAREFULLY THREAD #38 M6 screws WITH #41 lock washers in to 4 threaded holes of plate #5. Tighten. 7
Assembly con.nued STEP #3 Install Pedal Plajorms Install #10-2 Lei and #10-1 Right pedal plajorms to pedal bar with PARTS BAG #2 (#31) bolts, (#29) washer and (#30) locking nut. Turn.ll.ght. Note: locking nuts will feel.ght but must be turned.ll they stop STEP #4 Install Meter Holder and Meter 8 Install meter holder #8 using PARTS BAG #3 to Main frame as shown. Install new baqery in rear of meter, Connect wire #22 to plug in rear of meter and slide on to meter holder or use extension wire and mount meter on desk stand.
Get to know your FitDesk UDE Mul. func.on Performance Meter Foot Adjustable Resistance Lever Foot Massage Roller Desk area stand for Performance Display Using supplied extension cable plug cable ends in to extend the meter to the desk. Use supplied stand to hold meter on desk.!!! Cau.on!!! Do not let Extension cable get caught in moving pedals. Wrap extra wire around base of Meter Stand to keep the extension cable from sagging in to pedal area. Extension wire Keep a Rolling Chair from rolling back when pedaling. Put wheel of chair in front of massage bar. Roll back by moving wheel around massage bar. 9
Meter Opera.on, Maintenance and Trouble Shoo.ng METER OPERATION STEPS: 1. AUTO ON/OFF The system turns on when any key is pressed or when it senses input from the speed sensor. Shuts off when not used for 10 minutes 2. RESET The unit can be reset by pressing the RESET key. Make sure NOT in SCAN MODE. Each field resets independent from each other. 3. MODE tap twice to take out of SCAN MODE. To choose a func.on, press the MODE key when the arrow is above the text this is the mode showing in display. To take out of SCAN mode press mode again. FUNCTIONS: 1. TIME: Press the MODE key un.l the pointer is on TIME. The.me of the workout will be displayed. 2. SPEED: Press the MODE key un.l the pointer advances to SPEED. The current speed will be shown. 3. DISTANCE: Press the MODE key un.l the pointer advances to DISTANCE. The distance of each workout will be displayed. 4. CALORIE: Press the MODE key un.l the pointer advances to CALORIE. The calories burned will be displayed. 5. ODOMETER Press the MODE key un.l the pointer advances to ODOMETER. The total accumulated distance will be displayed. SCAN: Automa.cally display changes every 4 seconds. To take out of SCAN press 2x Trouble ShooLng BATTERY: If there are problems with the display try reinstalling the baqery. Connec.on: If no reading when pedaling disconnect, clean and reconnect link. Check that all connec.ons are plugged together including one in side of gearbox. Check that magnet is embedded in side of upper lei wheel. UDE MAINTENANCE: Keep all hardware.ght. Lubricate wheel under pedal If click noise is heard.ghten wheel under peda. Make extra.ght to take up free space between wheel and support brace. 10
