Introduction SIGNiX is an online digital signature service that allows users to upload documents, add signature fields, and send documents to other people for them to sign. Once users create an account, they can access documents, and use their personalized signature on others. Signing Documents When your action is required on a pending document, you will receive an auto-generated email from Kennesaw State University Online Signatures (demo@signix.com) with a link to access any documents that require your attention (See Figure 1). Be sure to bookmark this link in your web browser of choice. This link is how you will access the documents to sign. Figure 1 - Kennesaw State University Online Signatures Note: If you have not set-up your account yet, please refer to steps 2-6 of the SIGNiX: First Time Setup document located at uits.kennesaw.edu/cdoc. Figure 2 - Log In 1) Enter your PIN and click on Next (See Figure 2). Page 3 of 9
2) The View/Sign Documents window will appear. All documents pending your review and signature will be displayed (See Figure 3). Figure 3 - View/Sign Documents - Pending Documents 3) Click on Next to begin signing all documents that require action (See Figure 4). Figure 4 - Sign Once Note: If you wish to only review a specific document, double-click on the document to open. Page 4 of 9
4) The first document to be reviewed will open and a pop-up window will display with additional information. Click on OK to close the pop-up (See Figure 5). Figure 5 - Confirmation Pop-Up 5) During the signing process, you have access to the following options; Document List, Previous/Next Signature/Task, Print, Download, Cancel, Quit, Remove All, Finish Signing (See Figure 6): Figure 6 - Options Available During Signing A) Document List: Displays thumbnails of all documents that require signature and participants that need to sign (See Figure 6); B) Previous/Next Signature/Task: Moves you to the previous/next required signature/task in the current document (See Figure 6); C) Print: Print the current document (See Figure 6); D) Download: Download the current document to your computer (See Figure 6); E) Cancel: Cancels the signing process and returns you to the View/Sign Documents page (See Figure 6); F) Quit: Cancel signing your documents and log out of the system (See Figure 6); G) Remove All: Removes all selected signatures added to the current document (See Figure 6); H) Finish Signing: Confirms that you have finished signing all documents (See Figure 6). 6) Once you have read the entire document, scroll down to the Signature section (See Figure 7). Figure 7 - Signature Section 7) Click on Click Here to Sign to sign the document using your digital signature (See Figure 8). Figure 8 - Click Here to Sign Page 6 of 9
8) Your digital signature will be added to the document (See Figure 9). Figure 9 - Digital Signature Added Note: To remove your signature from the document, click the Remove Signature button above your digital signature (See Figure 9). 9) Click on Finish Signing to confirm your signature on the current document (See Figure 10). Figure 10 Finished Signing Document 10) A confirmation window will appear. Click Yes to confirm your signature to the current document (See Figure 11). 11) Your signature will be confirmed and the next document that requires action will be opened. 12) Continue reviewing and signing your pending documents by following steps 6 10. 13) When signatures on all pending documents have been added and confirmed, you will be brought back to the Review Documents page (See Figure 12). Figure 12 Review Documents Note: The next party member will receive a notification with a link via email that there are documents pending their review and signature. 14) Click Quit at the top of the window to finish reviewing your documents (See Figure 13). 15) A confirmation window will appear. Click on Yes (See Figure 14). Figure 14 - Quit Confirmation 16) A confirmation message will display. You are now finished signing your documents and have been logged out of SIGNiX (See Figure 15). Figure 15 - You're Finished! 17) You will receive a confirmation email from Kennesaw State University Online Signatures that will detail your actions and provide a link to view your documents. Use this link to access SIGNiX and review your documents, if needed (See Figure 16).
