Not only the theoretical learning, the students will be given the opportunities to apply skills and knowledge to work-related contexts, assignments and case studies. The curriculum of this programme requires the students to participate in the soft skill assessments activities for leadership, decision making skill, critical thinking skill, problem solving skill, presentation skill, initiative skill, time management, teamwork, communication skill, willingness to learn and selling skill through participation of case study discussion, classroom discussion, writing assignment, so that they can apply and reflect the soft skills in the learning process. Thus, on top of the academic qualification, integration of soft skills assessment will excel the students to achieve a successful career in a challenging world today. Principles of Management: Module Aims This course has been developed to promote an understanding and describe the features and purposes of managers and management environment, explain the foundation of planning and decision making, Understand and describe the feature of organization design, Staffing and HRM, Managing change stress and innovation. Examine the influences of Leading in foundations of Group and Individual behavior, undertaking work teams, motivating and rewarding employees, leadership and trusts and communication and inter personal skills. Expected Learning Outcomes Upon completion of the course it is expected that students will be able to: 1. Explain the foundation of business communication. 2. Demonstrate and understanding the three step writing process. 3. Outline and apply crafting brief message in business communication. 4. Provide solutions by preparing formal and informal reports and oral presentation. 5. Demonstrate and understand writing employment message and interviewing for jobs.
