Instructions for assembly of your Pop-Up Display I: Frame a) With the Pop-Up Frame still in the travel case, open the cloth bag. Make note of the ten black pegs on the top. These pegs represent the TOP front of the frame. There are four more black pegs like these at the other end of the frame which represent the TOP back of the frame. Special care should be taken not to stand the frame on the ends where these pegs are located. b) Carefully remove the Pop-Up Frame from its cloth bag and lie it down lengthwise so that the TOP front (row of 10 black pegs) is facing away from you and will expand to the appropriate position (the top front). c) This is an good time to attach the lights to the frame before expanding it. c) To expand the frame, lift upward and out. The frame will spring open. II: Channel Bars a) The Channel bars have two functions. They secure the frame and provide a surface to adhere the panels to. Carefully remove the channel bars from their cloth bag. Note that there are 17 silver bars and 4 black. The black channel bars have a specific location (see NOTE below). All channel bars will be assembled in vertical columns (up and down) with the magnetic strips facing outward. b) Begin assembly from the top with one of the silver channel bars. Slide the pointed end of the channel bar into one of the holes at the top of the frame. Then slide (from right to left) the bottom (square) end of the channel bar over the metal peg which is located on the frame. Use both hands to make sure it is securely in place. The next channel bar will slide into the bottom of this one, and so on. It is important to make sure the channel bars are securely in place (as far over the metal peg as they will go); otherwise they are likely to move (or fall off) during assembly.
NOTE>> The black channel bars are used to secure each wrap-around end panel. They should be placed third-down (at bottom of frame) in the following four columns: The outside (left) column in front, the outside (right) column in front, and the two columns on the back (left and right sides) of the frame. c) When you are finished there should be 7 columns of channel bars five on the front and two on the back. The two columns on the back of the frame are necessary to support the wrap-around end panels. III: Panels a) Your Pop-Up Display unit comes with 6 panels for the display itself and 1 conversion wrap for your travel case (if you purchased the conversion kit, as well). Note that two of the panels for the display are not as wide as the other four. These are the end panels and will be wrapped around each side of the display. b) Assemble the panels from one side of the frame to the other. Beginning with center panels, hook the upper lip of each side of the panel on the black pegs located at the top (front and back) of the frame. Then carefully press the edges of the panel from the top to the bottom, connecting the magnetic strips on the panel to the magnetic strips on the channel bars. c) Continue assembling the remaining panels in the same manner. Due to slight variation in the components of the pop-up display, it may be necessary to exchange one or more of the panels from their original placement in order to obtain a better fit. Once you have found an order that provides the best fit, you may find it beneficial to number your panels on the back to simplify future set-up of your display.
IV: Conversion Kit a) Remove the Conversion Wrap panel from the travel case. This will be the widest panel (the one that sits tallest in the travel case). b) Replace the lids on the travel cases. Push the flat sides of the cases up against each other, and wrap the panel around the case, securing it with the Velcro edge overlapping the opposite end of the conversion wrap panel. c) If you purchased a conversion table-top for your conversion kit, remove the table-top from its protective bag. The table-top will hinge open and can be placed on top of your travel case.
General Care & Disassembly Tips While the Pop-Up Frame is made to last, it is important to take care of your investment and be aware of the most fragile components. a) Plastic Pegs These are located at the top of the frame and are used to hang the Velcro panels from. Take care not to bump these into any hard surfaces during assembly or disassembly. Two replacement pieces for this component are located in the lid of your conversion case. b) Halogen Lights Take care not to touch the halogen light bulbs (even when cold) as the oils and salts from your skin may limit the life of the bulb. c) Panels During either assembly or disassembly, it is best to work one panel at time and keep the remaining panels either in the travel case or slightly rolled so that they can stand on edge. Keeping the front and back of the panels off of any floors will keep them looking new and clean. During disassembly, remove one panel at a time. Beginning from the bottom, pull the panels away from the magnetic strip. Work your way up the panel and then carefully slide the top of the panel off the black pegs. Roll and place each panel (two-at-a-time) inside the case. You will find it necessary to arrange each panel inside of the case so that the next disassembled panel will fit inside of the previous. d) Channel Bars DO NOT FORGET TO REMOVE THE CHANNEL BARS PRI- OR TO COLLAPSING YOUR FRAME. If the channel bars are not removed prior to collapsing the frame, YOU WILL DAMAGE THE FRAME. Any damage caused by improper assembly/disassembly or improper care is not covered by the manufacturer s warranty. e) Collapsing the Frame In the center of the frame, gently pull two bars on the frame outward and downward. Once the frame begins to collapse, gently guide it downward. Carefully slide the frame back into the cloth bag with the end that has 10 black pegs facing outward. Do NOT drop the frame into the cloth bag as this may damage the four black pegs at the opposite end, should they hit the floor. Gently return the frame to its travel case with the 10-peg end facing upward.
