Minerals processing Our experience and expertise in developing effective minerals processing solutions for our clients puts us among the leaders in this field. We are recognised internationally as a specialist in minerals processing projects, with expertise in studies; engineering, procurement and construction management; program and project management; and commissioning and operations. Our project experience ranges from small conceptual studies for new developments to the construction of large minerals processing facilities. We have a long track record of using proven methodologies to complete projects successfully, on time, on budget, and with an excellent safety performance. Our expertise spans a range of commodities, including: coal copper industrial minerals iron ore mineral sands precious metals uranium zinc gold lead nickel. At Ausenco, we offer quality services for each project, including high-level process engineering expertise, management of feasibility studies, and complete services through trusted alliances and joint ventures. We have extensive experience in delivering large EPC and EPCM projects and have the ability, knowledge and expertise to manage our clients projects on their behalf, in a timely manner and within the allocated budget. Working as part of a joint venture, we have delivered processing plant and associated infrastructure as a lump sum EPC project in Africa. We are also providing EPCM services for a coppermolybdenum project in Peru. Our clients know that an EPCM contract with Ausenco will ensure that their project is managed consistently and carefully to meet their needs. Ports and terminals We have been delivering ground breaking work on global ports and terminals projects for over 85 years. We have successfully designed private and government facilities ranging from small-vessel harbours to bulk terminals. Our experience encompasses a wide range of marine structures, including: wharves jetties spread mooring systems trestles fendering designs seawater intake and outfall facilities We are skilled in the development of greenfield ports, including site selection, planning of site investigations, conceptual studies, detailed design, and EPCM services. Using innovative techniques, our people devise costeffective structures that also meet the highest standards in environmental management and safety. Our engineers have designed steel-and-concrete marine structures able to withstand high seismic zones, dynamic forces from large vessels, and harsh ice and wave environments. Transportation systems We are among the world s most experienced companies in the planning and design of heavy haul rail and transportation systems for bulk materials. Our engineers have worked on more than 5,000 transport projects in a wide variety of urban and remote locations. They have designed, installed and integrated bulk-handling systems for mines, ports, mills, and industrial and agricultural complexes around the world. We re also a world leader in the use of computer modelling to simulate and optimise mine-to-port and port-to-port supply chains. Our proprietary Java-based software incorporates the wide range of real-world operating practices that we ve seen over the years. Using high-quality simulations, we can provide critical recommendations to improve your existing systems and optimise infrastructure investment for new systems. Operations and maintenance We provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services for clients who seek a seamless, low-risk transition to stable operations in order to secure and maintain a high return on investment. Pipeline systems For more than 30 years, our people have been devising ingenious pipeline solutions that operate in challenging terrains, extreme climates and remote locations. We have designed and engineered long-distance pipelines to transport virtually every type of mineral from concentrates such as copper, zinc, lead and iron to crushed ore, bauxite, nickel laterite, phosphate, potash, limestone and coal. Our capabilities also extend to delivering EPCM services for pipeline projects across the globe. Our project management experience means that we can take the project from initial concept through to delivery.
