Monitor online users Offer file growth, update or delete numbers in days, months or years, including total files, pictures, videos, etc. Record logs about system running, system operation, file operation such as creating, editing, deleting, sharing files, etc. 1.2 User Management Organization Local User Domain User Contacts Multi organizations, subsidiaries and departments can be created and managed. Organizations are paralleled and invisible to each other. Only system admin can manage all the organizations and users. Users created in AnyShare, they can be edited, deleted, enabled or disabled. Users and organization structure imported from Windows domain, domain users can be edited, deleted, enabled or disabled. Personal user groups, users from different organizations can be added to contacts for rapid authorization, sharing and collaboration. 5 / 11
of AnyShare 1.3 User Authentication Local Authentication Third-party Authentication Users and organizations can be created and authenticated in AnyShare. AD and LDAP-based third-party authentication platform can also be integrated. 1.4 Roles Default Roles System Admin Ordinary Admin User Owner Layered Management There are 3 kind of default roles: system admin, ordinary admin and user. In charge of system operation, creating users and libraries, configuring and managing storage. In charge of partial user and organization management, managing library access, setting or authorizing library access. With no rights to manage system, user can access and use files. Owner of library, folder or file, with rights to control access, file version and recycle bin. System admin is in charge of system operation to ensure service availability, while ordinary admin and user control access to files or folders. 1.5 Library Management My Documents Group Documents Relation (My & Group Documents) Personalized Library Shared Documents Quota Management It is personal library named with users name, owned by users with privacy. File sharing and collaboration workspace for groups such as project group or interest group. Each user can create at most 3 groups. As group also takes up user personal quota, My Documents quota is Personal Quota minus Groups Quota. System or ordinary admin create or classify library and specify library owner to manage library documents and access. Documents shared by others, including file or folder. At least 2 storage node or management node in the system. Any node failure will have no effect on system external services. Multiple nodes ensure high availability and load balancing, resources can be efficiently allocated to satisfy mass concurrency. Any file will be stored with 3 or more copies to ensure data backup, availability and security (up to 99.9999%). Data are stored in different nodes or disks by redundancy, thus any node failure will have no effect on data availability. 2.2 Secure Access 2.2.1 Permission Permission Access Permission Inherited Permission Deny First Users can view, add or delete access permission of files/folders. There are 3 kinds of access rights: read, write and delete. Child directory will auto inherit permissions of parent directory (up to root directory). If multiple permissions are set on one item, deny will take priority. 2.2.2 Version Version Control Number of Version File version policy can be set to control numbers and intervals of file version. At most 1024 versions can be set. 7 / 11
of AnyShare Interval File Versions View Version Restore Version The time interval for generating a new version. If file is repeatedly saved within interval, all the versions will be merged into one version. File history versions will be recorded with date and the one who modify. History versions can be downloaded and viewed with no effect on current version. History version can be restored to cover current version. 2.2.5 Recycle Bin Recycle Bin Restore Permanently Delete Temporary storage space in AnyShare for deleted files.
