ABOUT THE PROGRAMS Only partnership of its kind in Australia between the US Studies Centre and UCLA Shanghai is a unique program combining study & site visits in partnership with Fudan s Center for American Studies Exclusively offered to University of Sydney students and University of Western Australia for UCLA Integrated into the at- home curriculum Group study abroad completed over the winter break

WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE? 6- weeks - 21 June to 1 August All exams in the last week need to be taken early 2 Fudan classes, Mandarin lessons, Sino- US RelaYons lecture series Site visits around Shanghai and Beijing Receive up to 12 credit points towards your degree InternaYonal student accommodayon Pre- departure seminars and acyviyes in Shanghai

SITE VISITS One week in Beijing and one week in Shanghai Visit organisayons across many different industries for roundtables & panel discussions Learn about the opportuniyes and challenges doing business and working in China 2014 visits included U.S. Consulate, Austrade, ebay, Apple
ACCOMMODATION Live in Tonghe InternaYonal Student Village Two or three bedroom shared apartments Ideal locayon across the street from Fudan University Close to two metro lines for easy access around the city

SCHOLARSHIPS & OS- HELP 2015 OS- HELP loans up to AU$6,362 loca:ons Need to receive Sydney Uni credit to be eligible US Studies Centre Scholarships Financial Aid Based, must answer equity quesyon Merit Based, 2 x US$3,000 to students with top WAMs Faculty of Arts Scholarships Up to AU$20,000 for successful Arts students
AM I ELIGIBLE? Undergraduate (local or internayonal) Enrolled in a degree in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences or the Business School Completed at least 48 credit points of your degree Minimum WAM of 65% Demonstrate a potenyal to be an outstanding ambassador Highly desirable: prior compleyon of US Studies Centre unit Have space in your degree to receive elecyve credit
