4 TUITION & FEES - TERMS & CONDITIONS FEES COVER Application fee, tuition, general desposit, accident insurance (professional and non-professional), books, private health insurance, uniforms (service, kitchen and working tools), laundry and ironing of professional uniforms (service, kitchen and postgraduate only), some events and facilities (i.e. conferences, leisure and sports activities, library and media center), other school learning material, wireless Internet and Intranet connection, residence permit (only for visa students), consultation for, Spanish VAT, membership for the Alumni Association of Les Roches Marbella, tutoring (if required), industry presentations and career advice, membership for Manolo Santana Racquets Club Sports Center (tennis courts, paddle courts, fully equipped gymnasium, sauna, outdoor swimming pool) during the academic semester. Any unused services, clothes, school supplies, benefits, etc. included in the fees are non refundable. Single accommodation, parking, pocket money, personal expenses including costs and expenses, documentation required (visa, working permit, notary form for minors) and travel costs involved are not included. ROOM, BOARD & PARKING Room and board fees include standard accommodation (in general double room) in the school s residence, full board (3 meals a day, 5 days a week as well as brunch and dinner on Saturday, Sunday and holidays), or half board (breakfast and lunch Monday to Friday). Subject to availability, students can choose different accommodation options in the school s new residence building as well as in house parking facilities at an additional cost. Since there is a high demand for these rooms and parking options, students are given priority on a first paid, first served basis (pre-payment and single room supplement), but are allocated only upon the reception of the full payment of the school fees, before the deadline of 15th November (for the winter intake) or 15th August (for October intake). The prices below are in Euros, per person, per semester and in addition to the standard accommodation fee: Accomodation in New Residence Other Options Fees Room Type Fees Single Room 2,800 Double Room 900 Parking 150 Triple Room 450 Half Board 1,800 Room and board are compulsory for semester 1 and 3 of the BBA, and for 1A and 1B of the BBA with Intensive English & Service. For semesters 4, 6 and 7 and Postgraduate students the accommodation is off-campus with Half board compulsory or Full board optional. Should you wish to stay in the campus, please note demand is high and the number of rooms is limited, students will be given priority on a first paid, first served basis. Please note: a non smoking policy applies in all the campus, including the residence. LAPTOP POLICY Students enrolled in the Les Roches Marbella programs will need to have individual access to our intranet website, which hosts student information, including support and teaching documents and other learning resources. Students will also need to use internet for their project research, to access on-line library resources or s. To meet the institution s requirements, students are required to bring their own laptop which must meet the minimum specifications which are available at our website (www. lesroches. es). For further information and technical support of Les Roches Marbella s Information Technology Engineers, please contact laptop@lesroches.es. APPLICATION FEE An application fee of 300 is required with each application. Complete credit card information must be provided. This fee is not refundable. GENERAL DEPOSIT A refundable general deposit of 600 is required to cover any damage caused to Les Roches Marbella s property by students during their studies. It is payable at the time of the first semester s invoice and is refundable three months after final check out (completion of studies). INSURANCE Students are required to have health insurance coverage during the academic semesters and s. Students who do not provide a valid private insurance certificate will automatically be registered by the institution at the most competitive rate which may vary from one semester to another (the current rate is 720 per year). Accident insurance coverage is included for all students in the main tuition fees.
5 TUITION & FEES - TERMS & CONDITIONS Les Roches Marbella cannot be held responsible for the theft of personal belongings, student damage or third party insurance. PRE-PAYMENT New students: upon acceptance of your application, a pre-payment of 2,000 must be paid within 30 days from the date of the acceptance letter, in Euros, by bank transfer, check or credit card. This pre-payment confirms your place in the program and is refundable if a formal written cancellation is received before the 15th of November (for winter intake) or 15th August (for October intake). The pre-payment is deducted from the first semester s invoice. Returning students: before returning to school, a pre-payment of 2,000 PAYMENTS Payments should be made in full in Euros no later than the 15th November (for the winter intake) and no later than 15th of May (for the summer intake) and 15th August (for October intake) unless a payment plan contract has been approved. Payments can be made by bank transfer, check or credit card. Students will not be permitted to begin their studies until full payment for the semester has been received. The Spanish Resident permit, academic certificates and degrees are only delivered / awarded when all fees and charges have been paid. SCHOLARSHIPS As a private institution, Les Roches Marbella provides a limited number of scholarships for new students. The scholarships are competitive and linked to Les Roches s admissions strategy which aims to assist motivated young people to study at our institution. Each scholarship has specific criteria, eligibility is examined on a case-by-case basis for those students who have submitted a complete application. Scholarship application deadline before the 31st May (for summer and October intakes) and 31st October (for winter intake). FINANCIAL AID Les Roches Marbela offers financial aid to students for all university programs currently through two financial institutions: Banco Bilbao Vizcaya (BBVA) and Banco Sabadell. For further information on financial aid please visit our website: ( REFUND POLICY AND REVIEW The tuition fees paid for each semester are non refundable. If a student cancels before the official arrival date on campus, only the pre-payment will be retained. If a student is dismissed or withdraws from the semester, only the fees covering the accommodation and board are reimbursed (proportional to the number of weeks remaining in the semester). Any credits on account will be carried over and deducted from the invoice for the following semester and respectively refunded 3 months after final checkout at the end of the program. Les Roches Marbella reserves the right to review and modify the tuition fees of each semester at any time and without notice. To maintain the standards expected from the institution, the fees are reviewed annually. Bank Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Account Number: Swift Code: BBVAESMM IBAN: ES Please make sure that the bank indicates the student s name on the payment advice slip for the bank transaction, and a photocopy of all transfers must be sent to the Admissions Department by fax (+34) or by to admissions@lesroches.es. All bank changes incurred from student s transfer of payments made to the school are to be assumed by the student and will be deducted from the student s general deposit unless they have been previously satisfied. MEDICAL CERTIFICATE Students are required to provide the Les Roches Marbella medical certificate with the application form which can be downloaded from our website (
6 TUITION & FEES - TERMS & CONDITIONS INTERNSHIP All students are required to complete their (s) in establishments approved by Les Roches Marbella. The main objective is to prepare students for their professional career by developing their managerial, entrepreneurial and personal skills to their fullest through interesting and challenging s. Les Roches Marbella has established excellent relationships with the hospitality and tourism industry, and a wide choice of training possibilities are offered to students in large, medium or small companies in Spain or abroad. However, some countries can be restricted by Government visa and work permit policies as well as language requirements. Although s are generally paid by the employer, the remuneration received cannot be expected to finance studies at Les Roches Marbella. VISA PROCEDURE FOR ACCEPTED CANDIDATES Accepted non European Union candidates will receive, from the Admissions Department, their Certificate of Enrollment which, together with the Acceptance Letter, they will have to present at the Spanish Consulate in their country of origin. Non-European Union candidates must make a personal request for their student visa type D and present the required documentation at the Spanish Consulate in their country of origin. Students are strongly advised to apply for the Spanish student visa Type D at least 2 months prior to the official arrival date. The candidate must collect his/her original visa from the Spanish Consulate and ensure that all formalities are settled before coming to Les Roches Marbella.
