Cisco CME Files Cisco CME File This topic describes Cisco CME files. Cisco CallManager Express Files TFTP or FTP server FLASH GUI files firmware Music on Hold IOS copy tftp flash or copy ftp flash Load firmware for IP phones and devices Used to upgrade Cisco CME Load music on hold files 104 Cisco CME requires firmware files to be copied to the flash memory on your router and shared using Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) or the File Transfer Protocol (FTP). Download Cisco CME 3.1 files to a TFTP or FTP server that is accessible to your Cisco CME router. To move the files from the server to the flash memory, use the copy tftp flash command or the copy ftp flash command. You can download the files in a single bundle or individually. When the Cisco CME router is upgraded, the new files like firmware, GUI files, and IOS will need to be moved to flash of the router. Other files like new firmware version and music on hold files may need to be periodically updated. 3-110 Cisco Networking Academy Program: v1.0 Copyright 2005, Cisco Systems, Inc.

Bundled Cisco CME File This topic describes downloading bundled Cisco CME files. Bundled Files Bundled Cisco CME File 105 A bundled file with all of the Cisco CME files can be downloaded from cisco.com. The Cisco CME bundle comes in either a tar file or a zip file. These files can then be extracted on the FTP or TFTP server. Reference The Cisco CME software can be found at the following URL: http://www.cisco.com/kobayashi/sw-center/sw-voice.shtml Copyright 2005, Cisco Systems, Inc. Configuring Cisco CME > Cisco CME Files 3-111

Bundled Files cme-3.1.1.tar or cme-3.1.1.zip extracted yields GUI Files cme-gui-3.1.1.zip Cisco TAPI file CiscoIOSTSP.zip Firmware files ATA 7902 7905 7912 7914 7914 Expansion Module 7920 7935 7936 7940 7960 Music on Hold music-on-hold.au 106 The Cisco CME bundle contains all of the files needed to install and configure Cisco CME. The file contained in the bundle is listed in the graphic. The cme-gui-3.1.1.zip file contains all the files needed to run the GUI Web interface for Cisco CME. These files will also be needed for the GUI of Cisco Unity Express. The music-on-hold.au file can be used to provide music on hold from a file in flash. This can be replaced with a custom.wav or.au file if desired. 3-112 Cisco Networking Academy Program: v1.0 Copyright 2005, Cisco Systems, Inc.

Individual Cisco CME Files This topic describes downloading individual Cisco CME files. Individual Files Individual Cisco CME Files Firmware files Basic Cisco CME tar GUI tar 107 The files can be downloaded individually as well as in a bundle. Note These files are version-specific and are not backwards compatible Copyright 2005, Cisco Systems, Inc. Configuring Cisco CME > Cisco CME Files 3-113

GUI Files This topic identifies Cisco CME GUI files to enable Web access. GUI Files GUI Files 108 One of the individual files that can be downloaded is the tar that contains the GUI Web interface for Cisco CME. The Cisco Unity Express module GUI is also dependent on the CallManager GUI. 3-114 Cisco Networking Academy Program: v1.0 Copyright 2005, Cisco Systems, Inc.

GUI Files cme-gui-3.1.1.tar extracted yields XMLTemplate xml.template GUI files admin_user.html admin_user.js CiscoLogo.gif Delete.gif dom.js downarrow.gif ephone_admin.html logohome.gif normal_user.html normal_user.js Plus.gif sxiconad.gif Tab.gif telephony_service.html uparrow.gif xml-test.html 109 The contents of the GUI Web interface tar file are shown above and these files will need to be present in the flash of the Cisco CME router. This will be covered in more detail in a later module. Copyright 2005, Cisco Systems, Inc. Configuring Cisco CME > Cisco CME Files 3-115

Cisco CME - TAPI Integration This topic identifies TSP files for TAPI integration. TAPI Integration Cisco CME - TAPI Integration 110 To allow a third-party piece of software to interact with the Cisco CME system through TAPI lite, the files in the IOS TSP file will need to be installed on the same Windows PC where the software will be installed. This will be covered in more detail in a later module. 3-116 Cisco Networking Academy Program: v1.0 Copyright 2005, Cisco Systems, Inc.

TAPI Integration CiscoIOSTSP1.2.zip 111 The content of the IOS TSP file are shown above. Run the setup.exe on the Windows PC where the TAPI integration is being performed. These files are version-specific and must be upgraded on the PC when Cisco CME is upgraded. Note This file does not need to reside in flash; it will be extracted and installed on a Windows PC. Copyright 2005, Cisco Systems, Inc. Configuring Cisco CME > Cisco CME Files 3-117

Additional Files This topic describes music-on-hold and xml.template files. Additional Files music-on-hold.au Use the music-on-hold.au audio file to provide music for external callers on hold when you are not using a live feed xml.template Use the xml.template file to allow or restrict the GUI functions that are available to an optional customer administrator 112 Other files that may be of interest include the file needed for music on hold (MoH). This file must reside in flash on the Cisco CME router and must be called music-on-hold.au. The file that comes in the bundle or was downloaded individually contains an audio file that will be used when a caller is placed on hold. This may be customized and this topic is covered in more detail in a later module. A sample file for creating a customer administrator with a limited subset of administrative privileges is included in the bundle or can be downloaded in an individual file that contains the basic files. This file can be customized and stored in flash memory for use. This topic is covered in more detail in a later module. 3-118 Cisco Networking Academy Program: v1.0 Copyright 2005, Cisco Systems, Inc.
