Hi, Congratulations for downloading this pdf guide on lead generation. At least you've taken a step forward in the right direction. You are going to learn 15 free sources to get leads online for your business. I believe you understand that lead generation is the crucial secret to success in the online world. If your business must make money, you must have quality leads coming into your list every day. First Things First Provide Value If lead generation is the door to creating success online, then providing value is the key to open that door. People are starving for the truth out there, and they are tired of deceptive sales people who just want to make a buck online and not provide any real value. If you focus on serving your audience and providing great content for free that will help them tremendously, you will get a flood of people reaching out to you and jumping into your community in order to learn more or get closer to you. This is not an exhaustive list but it's pretty much adequate to help you smash this lead generation thing. I also do not expect that you will use them all; as you go through this guide, pick out between 3 to 5 of the points that you are comfortable with and run with them. You can always add the other ones later. Where are you going to keep your leads? If you are going to generate leads, you are going to need a place to keep them. You need your own email list. Your email list is your most important asset

in your online business and you must focus on building this list every single day. There are several email marketing services but the most popular are Aweber and Getresponse. I use Getresponse because I just think it's very simple to use so you can start there with a trial account. Once you provide enough value to your audience, they will start to reach out to you to know more about what you do and how they can work with you. Wouldn't you want that? Alright, let's dive into the main content I want to bring to you in this guide!

15 Free Sources of Generating Leads Online 1. E-BOOK: Create a guide or report about a topic of interest in your niche and give it away for free. You can do some research to find out what your audience really wants to know and create your e-book around that. It doesn't have to be a full-fledged book, you can do a few pages of specific content with actionable steps. The way to get the lead here is to lead them to a capture page and ask for their best email address so you can send the e-book directly to their email. Bingo! Tip: Make sure you don't promote your services or Products. This E-book should be to build a relationship with them and not to sell. You can provide a way for them to reach you or go deeper with you at the end of the e-book and they'll respect you for that. 2. BLOGGING: If you are serious about building a sustainable business online, you need to get a blog. Amongst a host of other reasons, a blog is your own space where you call all the shots and don't need to worry about abiding by company's changing policies. Your blog is an ever growing asset that build relationship and credibility between you and your audience, and you can literally brand yourself totally with you blog and generate thousands of leads through your blog. To generate leads with blogging takes patience and consistency because you may not see the results immediately. Lead Magnet: This is a term you must be familiar with if you want to generate leads with blogging as it will most likely be your major source of leads on your blog.

So you MUST have a lead magnet in place, something of real value that you give away that will solve a real problem of your target market. It must be so good that your visitors literally rush to type in their email address and cannot wait to get your notification in their email box. Ways to generate leads through your blog: a. Opt-in Forms: Place them strategically around your blog. Common places are before or after your blog post and in your about page. b. Pop-ups: There are really beautiful pop-up creators out there and your email auto- responder service most likely has one. Pop-ups are a very effective way to generate leads when done nicely, and you can offer anything from your free e-book to courses you want to sell, as long as they are congruent with your blog niche. c. Email Newsletter: Your Newsletter is an email broadcast you send periodically to your email list. Place an opt-in form to ask your readers to sign up for email updates. Those who want to dig deeper with you will jump in. d. Post downloads: If you have a post that has been getting a lot of attention, you can offer your readers a pdf download of that post and ask for their email to send it to. You can also group a bunch of related posts as a series and offer that as a lead magnet. 3. SOCIAL MEDIA There is a really huge potential for generating leads through social media once you know how to go about it. Here are a few ways: a. Profile: Optimize your profile to position yourself as an authority in your niche and provide a link to your blog. Make it short and straight to the point describing how you can help your audience get the results they desire. b. Social Listening and Engaging: Make a conscious effort to understand what your audience is saying and what they really want. Communicate with them like a real human with feelings and provide value and answers to their

questions. Connect with them emotionally and let them know you are there to help. c. Once you offer a lead magnet (a free e-book, webinar, or even a paid product course) that solves their problems, they will jump at it and onto your list. 4. WEBINARS Organize webinars around your niche and teach something of value. You should have a registration page so you can capture their email address and details before they get access to the webinar. Another way would be to offer a way for your webinar attendees to reach you or download a free offer (lead magnet) and that can also lead to a capture page to get their email before they get access to whatever you are offering. This will also be appropriate if you do a course on slide-share. Some Popular Free Webinar services: Anymeeting and Google Hangouts. 5. PODCASTING Some people are more audio-oriented than visual, and podcasting offers a great way for you to be a part of your audience's lives without actively taking their time. They can listen to you while cooking, driving, working out at the gym, or even while at work. The simple fact that it's audio means they can listen to your content while doing other things and that's a really powerful advantage that podcasting offers. Podcasting greatly appeals to people who are time-strained. You have a better chance of attracting qualified leads with podcasting because they will usually be people who want to hear you explain things in detail about your niche. One last benefit of podcasting is that it is a fast relationship builder. Because they cannot see you, but can hear you, they tend to listen in to your

mannerisms and voice inflections. They can feel when you're excited, serious, angry, disappointed and you can use the advantage of your voice to create a stronger bond. This helps you create the right emotions that make them know, like and trust you. At the end of your podcast, direct your listeners to a landing page to get your free or paid offers and always ask them to share your podcast if they got value from it. 6. GUEST PRESENTING If you are new to lead generation and list building, you need to realise the importance of getting yourself out there. Even if you produce great content, they will be of no use because The best and most effective way to launch your list is through guest presenting. This can be guest blogging or guest podcasting, that is, appearing as a guest or co-presenter on someone else's platform, who is an authority in your niche. Reach out to influential bloggers in your niche and offer to provide free content for them in exchange for them sharing it with their list. At the end of the article, place a brief link to your free offer and direct the traffic to your landing page. 7. REFERRALS Asking for referrals is in no way outdated. Reach out to your friends and connections on social media and ask for referrals of people they think will like your product, service or blog content. In most cases, your friends are likely to want to help and be a part of your success. So even if you don't get a thousand new subscribers by asking for referrals, you will actually get qualified leads because the lead was recommended by a trusted person so you have instant credibility.

8. FORUMS/ GROUPS Forums may have been sidetracked by social media trends but they aren't dead yet. They are still a very powerful way of generating leads for your business. Find related niche forums and provide value content. Answer questions in the threads and provide a link for people to get more information or gain access to your offer. This is called a content upgrade. They are already receiving value from you and then you provide a way for them to get more. People love that. 9. 'THANK YOU' CALL TO ACTION The summary of this is, Find a reason to say thank you, and then on that page, ask them to join your list to get your offer. This can work on any platform. Whether blogs, podcast, social media, etc. Just find a reason to say thank you and then provide an opportunity for them to get a free gift by dropping their email address. 10. EMAIL SIGNATURE Add a call to action to your emails, both personal and business and provide a way for your reader to connect with you or get your offer. If your email contains information that gets forwarded, that's more opportunities for more eyes to see your offer and probably take action. 11. VIDEO OPTIMIZATION With video services like YouTube, you can pretty much build a gigantic list by creating interesting videos that go viral. What you will need to master is how to create effective videos and how to optimize them. An effective video will have an introduction, a main piece of content, and then a call to action. Make your call to action a way for them to learn more about what you just talked about and then capture their email addresses from there.

Using the appropriate keywords will let your video be picked up faster by search engines and get more visitors to see your video and potentially subscribe 12. REACH OUT, JOIN FORUMS & RELATED COMMUNITIES The smart way to get yourself known is to hang out where your target audience hangs out. Reach out to other influencers and experts in your niche. Find out the top blogs in your niche, subscribe to them and make a conscious effort to drop thoughtful comments on the posts. Not only will you learn the hang of how successful blogs operate and generate leads and sales, but you can also get a fair share of exposure from people clicking on your link. Also, by building relationships like that, you can also land a joint venture with these top experts or an interview of some sort that will increase your credibility. Bottom line is Find where your audience hangs out, and hang around there and make them notice you. 13. JOINT VENTURES On the last point, I touched on how you can land joint ventures with experts in your niche. The concept here is to build relationships gradually with the authority figures or blogs and if you hang around long enough, you can find opportunities to partner with them on select projects or launches. You have to sustain a mindset of providing value to the experts in your niche and not the other way around. These people are getting bombarded day in day out by others with requests and they certainly notice anyone who goes the opposite route and seeks to provide them value in any way. In this way, you can actually ask them to assist in building your list in return and a lot of influencers will pretty much be willing to share your product or offer to their list.

Looking for how you can provide value to them is the fastest way to get their attention and then you can nurture that relationship until an opportunity arises for a partnership. Basically, because you are partnered with someone who has a huge list of followers and subscribers, 14. CONTESTS Give away a product or service for free and make it for newsletter subscribers only so new people feel compelled to subscribe. A very great contest is one that requires the contestants to share the information to others thereby increasing the size of your list, so doing a contest periodically is a good way to spike up your list. Look for contests in your niche and study their structure and processes. If you're just starting out online, you can offer a free one-on-one consultancy or your product for free (if you have a product) as the prize. 15. SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION [Keywords, SEO, Content, Consistency] This relates to every form of content production online. Whether you have a blog or a podcast series or video, make an effort to optimize your content to be more attractive to search engines. How would you like for people to search Google for subjects in Network Marketing and have your content come up in the search results? There are a lot of free resources on search engine optimization and even though it is not necessary that you become an SEO guru, there are a few things you can do by yourself and for free to get better love from Google and get your content to rank higher.

- Keywords: Align any form of content you are producing to selected keywords and include those words in several places in your blog or description if you are doing. For example, if your target keyword is network marketing leads, ensure it is included in the title of your content, sprinkle it conservatively throughout your blog post and if you are doing a video or podcast, strategically use the keyword a few times in the description. - Quality and Originality: Ensure you are always putting out the best version of yourself when you produce content. Not some hyped, artificial expert status or any form of perfectionism, but the real you. You need to ensure your human component and personality reflects through your blog while still maintaining high quality, value-packed content. Your audience will love you for it and the search engines will also give you more juice. - Consistency: No doubt, this is the crux of the matter. Forget about SEO if you are not going to commit to be consistent. Pick out a posting schedule that fits your lifestyle and stick to it. How frequently are you going to put out your content? Daily, Weekly, Biweekly, Monthly? It is very important that you are consistent in your content production and emailing your list. If you have a weekly roundup video for your business, make an effort to always deliver just that and your audience will respect you for that.
