Comprehensive Consulting for Private Colleges & Universities Enrollment & Financial Aid Solutions

Admissions Who are we? Credo is a comprehensive higher education consulting firm that specializes in private higher education, empowering colleges and universities to move forward on the continuum from surviving to thriving. What makes Credo different? We are the only consulting firm in the country with the expertise and passion to address your challenges and opportunities across all of these critical areas: strategic planning, enrollment, retention, leadership development, executive search, campus master planning, architecture, branding, student experience, academics, and fundraising. We know that with smart, data-driven strategies designed to lift up mission and embrace distinctions in the marketplace, private higher education can grow and thrive through any challenge. Who do we work with? We count among our partner schools more than 250 institutions from across the private higher education sector, with concentrations in the CIC, NAICU, and CCCU networks. Credo has extensive experience in the Christian higher education marketplace, with lead consultants and staff representing decades of consulting and on-campus work at colleges and universities with a broad range of denominational affiliations. Credo understands what it means to be a small, private institution in a very competitive marketplace. They listened to what our needs were and tailored their consulting to match those needs. Dr. Tiffany M. Franks President Averett University Enrollment & Financial Aid Solutions You know that meeting enrollment goals is key to living out your mission and building a strong financial base. Finding a successful mix of best-fit students and enabling them to persist to graduation requires best-practice supported strategies. Credo equips your enrollment, admission, and financial aid teams to develop a customized set of recommendations and strategies that add up to success. Here s how we can help. 1 Admission Assessments With expertise across the higher education admission spectrum, Credo offers Undergraduate, Graduate, and Adult ACE projects. ACE stands for Assess, Counsel, and Empower. With Credo, you receive the commitment that we will not just assess your enrollment practices and then leave you high and dry. Rather, a highly-qualified team of admission experts will work side-by-side with your admission leaders and teams to comprehensively examine, counsel, and empower the entire institution to collect and analyze data, zeroing in on the organization and utilization of processes and resources. Here s what you can expect out of an ACE: Clarity about the effectiveness of current strategies, systems, processes, operations, applications of data, enrollment research, and team deployment. A highly detailed, prioritized list of recommendations including specific strategic and tactical recommendations. Two months of ongoing consultation in person and via email around recommendations. Campus-wide impact through the team presentation and individual meetings. 2 Admission Team Training Credo provides a range of admission team training opportunities, customized to the needs of your department and your institution. We help identify barriers to success, lift up achievements to be celebrated, and engage the team in strategic thinking as it relates to meeting enrollment goals and delivering on monthly recruitment activities and priorities. The outcome is an energized staff with a solid understanding of the big picture, empowered to drive the institution toward and beyond its enrollment goals. 3 Strategic Enrollment Plans A key element to the enrollment health on your campus is the initiation and implementation of a Strategic Enrollment Plan (SEP) that encompasses important data, relevant projections, and current recruitment strategies. An SEP from Credo speaks to your institution s value proposition, and serves as the roadmap for the enrollment team and the entire campus. Credo s SEP follows best-practice principles and addresses critical enrollment issues such as institutional mission, organizational structure, competitive analysis of peers, strategic goals and projections, budget, accountability, and key performance indicators. The SEP provides a clear roadmap for goal accomplishment and growth in key indicators. Instead of pat answers and one-size-fits-all solutions, the enrollment consultants at Credo take the time to dig in to the institution s enrollment management business from leadership and structure to day-to-day operations. They provide a frank and honest assessment of the operation, and provide actionable recommendations. Michael Quinn Vice President for Enrollment Management Randolph College 4 5 p.4 p.5

Predictive Modeling PowerPREDICT It was very valuable to me to have a partner who understood enrollment management and admissions that I could bounce things off of and move through this work together. It wasn t simply discussion or ideas, it was rolling up our sleeves, spending long hours moving through the work, and accomplishing our list of objectives. Rachel Nichols Vice President for Enrollment Management Lenoir-Rhyne University How well does your institution cultivate and connect with prospective students? How do you ascertain who your prospective students are? Thriving institutions utilize predictive modeling to enhance yield, engagement, and retention. PowerPREDICT by Credo is the comprehensive predictive modeling tool that can help your team embrace viable admission staff objectives, execute best-practice procedures, and implement mathematically-based approaches to prioritize time and resources. Benefits include: Customized, individualized research service. Cultivation of specific pipelines for growth. Promotion of effective communications. Efficiency to leverage resources to achieve quantifiable enhanced yield, enrollment, and retention. 6 7 5 Admitted Student Research Credo s Admitted Student Research (ASR) project delivers comprehensive data and analysis that focuses exclusively on admitted students and the factors that inform their institutional selections. Credo ASR will help you understand not only the needs of your desired constituency, but also how to interpret this data to implement strategic processes that improve your institution s enrollment and retention success. p.6 p.7

Financial Aid Assessments The processes of your financial aid department are integral indicators of the overall health of your institution. Balancing student success and revenue generation can prove a daunting task for even the most established financial aid departments. A Credo Financial Aid ACE Assesses financial aid operations, provides Counsel for leadership and staff, and Empowers your institution to thrive by delivering recommended packaging strategies that lead to successful outcomes for your students, staff, and entire institution. 7 Strategic Financial Aid Packaging Matrices The viability of your financial aid department depends upon data-driven strategies, operations, and technologies that align financial aid practices with the institution s overall goals and mission. With Credo as a partner, your financial aid department can exceed the boundaries set by the rut of traditional need- and merit-based packaging and become a leading, healthy indicator of your institution s overall success. Benefits include: Recommendations to track commitments and ensure target goals are met. A new financial aid packaging matrix that awards aid efficiently and maximizes net tuition revenue. An alignment of matrices to federal, state, and other relevant guidelines. 8 9 10 Benefits include: Strategic recommendations targeted to address issues that will provide the greatest impact on an efficient and effective financial aid operation. Meaningful contributions to new student enrollment efforts. Enhancement of the financial aid staff s ability to serve current students. I have listened to many consultants from different organizations. Credo has been highly recommended to me by several colleagues. Now that I have visited Credo personally, I consider their services to be the gold standard for Christian higher education, based on my experience with them and the feedback I have received from others. David Fincher President Central Christian College of the Bible p.8 p.9

Interim Enrollment Leadership In a time of enrollment leadership transition, stability and expertise are paramount to maintaining momentum and institutional growth. Credo provides oversight of and support for your enrollment team while a new leader is identified. Our interim leader will: Ensure leadership and oversight of any combination of undergraduate, graduate, adult and online enrollment teams. Create vibrant working environments for the enrollment team. Hold the team accountable for relevant production and processes. Meet current-term enrollment goals and improve trends for future goals. Create readiness across the division for a new Vice President for Enrollment Management. 9 Leadership Coaching 10 Comprehensive Enrollment Consulting The intention of leadership coaching is to reveal an individual s innate potential through a process of reflection and introspection, in this case, identifying an enrollment leader s strengths and bringing them to bear on driving critical indicators.
