State Level Actions from Task Menu M3 CAPABILITIES
The State must authorize a user to have access to M3. The State s authorized users can log into M3 using their individual single sign on login information. A separate login from other PTA applications is not required to access M3. Accessing M3
Home Screen Once a State authorized user logs into M3, they immediately see a listing of all local units in their state including the units current status. From this screen they have a Task Menu on the left hand side of the screen and also can quickly access any content on the pta.org website by selecting any of the tabs across the top.
Update State Contact Information From the Update State Profile screen you can update contact info, add new state role information and view current state Membership counts for the fiscal year.
From the Home Screen Task Menu, a state can select to add a new local unit. The state must first either select the local unit President from the database or create a new local unit President. Add Local Unit
Once the local unit president has been selected or created, you can complete all necessary information for the local unit. Add Local Unit - Continued
Immediately after creating a new local unit, the State will find the local unit populated in the State Local Unit listing on your Home Screen. Add Local Unit - Continued
States can upload multiple members from various local units into M3 at one time using the member upload template. Once the new members have been processed and are no longer listed in the In Process table, the members can be found on the local unit page. Add Member to Local Unit

States will report their monthly member counts via M3 by selecting Upload Member Counts from the state Home Page. States can preview their YTD member counts and YTD dues from this web page. States will complete the provided dues upload template for each month and upload to M3 via this page. Upload Member Counts

Upload Member Counts - Continued Once the State has uploaded the template, they must validate the information. If any member counts are not validated, an error message will display in the Message Column. Once all units are validated, the state can Import the counts.
Upload Member Counts - Continued Note that immediately after the member counts are uploaded, the current months counts are included in the Member Count for current month and Pending Dues payment. Once the National PTA staff has closed the membership reporting month, the uploaded dues will move from Current Month and Pending Dues to Total Reported and YTD Dues.
States can pull the IRS Report which will produce a report to fulfill their IRS required reporting. The report can be sorted by any column and also exported into excel. IRS Report
Local Unit Actions from Within a Specific Unit M3 CAPABILITIES
From the State Home Page, the State can access any local unit s page by clicking on the Local Unit ID, Local Unit Name or the edit Button. They can also make a local unit Active or Inactive simply by clicking on the local unit s status. Local Unit Listing
Local Unit Home Page Similar to the State s Home Page, the local unit s Home Page displays a listing of all local unit members and also has a task menu on the left hand side of the screen. The State can access the Member Profile Update page by clicking on the member s name or the Update button.
Member Profile Update Page The State can view and edit a member s contact information from the Member Profile Update page.
The State can print the local unit s roster or export it to excel by choosing Print Roster on the Task Menu. Print Local Unit Roster
The State can view or update a local unit s contact information by selecting Update Local Unit from the Task Menu. The State can also report monthly member counts for a specific local unit by entering the member count amount and selecting update. Update Local Unit
Upload member for local unit The State can upload multiple members for one specific unit by using the same upload template that is required for the member upload on the State Home page.
The State can also associate a member already in the system with a specific local unit by selecting Add Member from the Local Unit Task Menu. Add Member
