Shelby ACSM Certified Personal Trainer Shelby graduated from North Central High School where she competed on the girl s softball team and was involved in the Strength & Conditioning program, where she received Female Athlete of the Year from sophomore through senior year. She is currently a full-time student at (IUPUI), majoring in exercise science. Shelby has been a part of our wellness coaching team since 2014 and enjoys working in a health-related environment. She also works as a sport specific trainer for the Indiana Prospects softball organization. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, being with friends and family, and being outside. Shelby looks forward to a diverse population of clients and is always up for a challenge. Kate Emmenegger B.S., Kinesiology, ACSM Certified Personal Trainer Kate graduated from Purdue University in December of 2014 with a Bachelor s Degree in Applied Exercise & Health. During her college career, she got a head start on her Personal Training experience and trained clients for 2 years at Purdue s Recreational Sports Center. Her clients have ranged from young adults looking to find a healthy balance between work, school and a social life to senior citizens looking to find balance in their step! Before college, Kate was always immersed in fitness. She was a dancer for 15 years and participated in sports (softball, swimming, and cross country) throughout high school. Over the years, Kate has participated in various 5k races, the Warrior Dash, a Half Marathon, and Purdue s Strongest Boilermaker (strongman competition). Today, Kate spends her gym time in the weight room or improving her yoga practice. Kate loves helping her clients find a healthy balance in life through enjoyable exercise, good nutrition, and a stress-free lifestyle. Her philosophy on exercise is to find what makes you happy. Kayla Kohlman B.S., Kinesiology, ACSM Certified Kayla Kohlman is a personal trainer and wellness coach here at the Jordan YMCA. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, an American College of Sports Medicine Personal Training certification, and an IUPUI Personal Training certification. Fitness is a never-ending process to become the best you can be everyday! Kayla has lost over 25 pounds on her weight loss journey and has built muscular strength and endurance. Corrie Behar NCCPT Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Zumba & Insanity Instructor Corrie has struggled with weight her entire life and now has four kids. She understands that it s difficult to find time to exercise and fulfill all our commitments. Corrie began exercising regularly (again) in 2010 at her local YMCA. This led Corrie to fall in love with fitness, lose 30lbs (went from an 18 to an 8!), and realize she didn t miss Corporate America. Corrie decided she wanted to help others like herself-those who didn t know where to begin or didn t know how to set up a workout program/schedule. This new ambition led to obtaining several Zumba Certifications (6) in 2012, an Insanity Certification in 2013, and a Certified Personal Trainer Certification through NCCPT (National Council for Certified Personal Trainers) in 2013. Since moving to Indy in 2012, Corrie has taught various group exercise classes at several Indy YMCA locations and has been a Wellness Coach at the Jordan Y. She wants to work with the beginner to intermediate exerciser, Active Older Adults, and those who may have health concerns or special needs.
Anthony Ripley B.S. Exercise Science, ACSM/VIPR Certified Personal Trainer Anthony graduated from Ball State University, where he played on the Men s Rugby Team. Anthony participated in many sports growing up, such as football, swimming, soccer, baseball and basketball. After graduating college, Anthony was certified in VIPR Training and has been studying Myofacial Release Therapy. Anthony has a passion to help people reach their goals and become knowledgeable about what it takes to stay healthy and fit. He believes that exercise can change a person not only physically but mentally as well. Anthony s training focuses on the mind and body. Anthony excels at training range of motion, functional movement, weight loss, strength training and polymeric training. Anthony enjoys participating in 5k runs, 10ks and triathlons.

Lisa Moran B.S. Kinesiology, ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Pilates Instructor Lisa attended Indiana University and received her bachelors degree in Kinesiology. Having taken a strong liking to exercise at an early age, Lisa decided to turn her passion into a career. Lisa is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and a STOTT Certified Pilates Instructor. Lisa is eager to work with clients to show them how beneficial multiple methods of training can be for everyone. She loves exercise and attends annual trainings to keep her methods current and full of variety. In her free time she keeps herself busy by spending time with her family and maintaining her own fitness goals.
Waleed Shellah B.S. Science, ACSM Certified Personal Trainer Waleed graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in May of 2013, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Food, Nutrition, and Wellness, along with a minor in Worksite Promotion and Wellness. He also participated on the cross country and track teams that were both conference champions and NCAA D2 national qualifiers. Waleed is a certified personal trainer via the American College of Sports Medicine. His experience in nutrition, fitness, and wellness allows him to work with a variety of clients with different goals.
