About this report... Graduate Success 2009-2010 is a follow-up of graduates who were awarded an associate degree, technical diploma or a certificate by Western Technical College (Western) for satisfactorily completing their program of study between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010. The programs at Western contain up-to-date, relevant, hands-on occupational training, general studies and employment skills courses. Placement services supported by Student Employment Services are an integral part of the educational process at Western, assisting students in making the transition from school to work. The data reported are a valid representation of the 2009-2010 graduate population of Western. Wage and salary data are based only on gross wage, and not take-home pay, and do not include overtime pay and/or commissions. Calculations include only those reporting both wages and hours worked. Median salaries designate the middle salary position with half of the graduates receiving more than the rate shown and half receiving less than the rate shown. The salaries represent wages earned by the graduate approximately six or more months after employment. Full-time (FT) salaries are based on graduates who reported 35 or more hours per week. Part-time (PT) are those working less than 35 hours per week.
