INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMMES IGCSE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IGCSE are internationally recognised qualifications that are the same level and standard as GCSE but with an international perspective. The IGCSE qualification is accepted by British Schools and colleges when determining a student s suitability to study on Further Education (FE) Programmes including A Levels and University Foundation Programmes. Trainees will then have to work on 30 units of online interactive material. A timetable is published and trainees have to abide by the deadlines. Forum and live room tasks are integrated into the course. Trainees therefore need to attend appointments (either for real, when they carry out their classroom observations, for example) or virtual (online). Trainees are supported by an online course tutor who will help them and check that they are on target to complete their units as planned so that they can fully benefit from the teaching practice at the training centre. Each trainee has to complete 6 hours of supervised teaching practice. They also complete peer observations and they have to observe experienced teachers. TERMS & CONDITIONS Students under 16 years The college is not funded for students under 16 years and the fees in this prospectus do not apply to students who are under 16 years at 31 August 2015. Students under 16 years who are enrolled on a part-time course will be charged a tuition rate of 6.60 per hour (other costs may apply, for example registration fee or exams). Students aged 16, 17 or 18 years If you are a home student enrolling onto an EFA funded programme aged 16 years or over (but under 19 years of age on 31 August 2015), you will not be charged any fees for your course, with the exemption of non-funded courses and specific course related materials, equipment or trips. You may be required to pay for exam resits. Students aged 19 years or over You will be charged fees at rates set annually by the college. The only exception to this is if the circumstances arise from medical reasons and a doctor certifies this.
