Let the wine flow! The wines of Valais to taste them is to love them! With over 5,000 hectares of vines, Valais has the largest area of vineyards in Switzerland. Some 60 different grape varieties, many of them very well-known, are cultivated here at altitudes which range from 450 to 800 metres. The dryness of the Valais microclimate and the fertility of the rocky limestone soil explain, amongst other factors, this great propensity to produce top-quality, fine wines. These wines transport us elsewhere, telling a wonderful story each time we savour them. Petite Arvine, Johannisberg, Heida, Fendant, Cornalin, Humagne Rouge, Syrah, Amigne, Marsanne, they have temperament, panache, depth and class. Each wine is an invitation to dream! www.lesvinsduvalais.ch 24 25
