Explore the opportunities. To accommodate distance learners, a variety of online resources are available via DePuySynthesInstitute.com. Here you will find education modules designed specifically for residents, fellows, physicians and nurses. Course A course can be a mix of presentations, case reviews, instrumentation, treatment therapies, surgical techniques and endovascular techniques with the addition of a hands on lab. Courses are typically led by three to ten HCP Consultants with experience to meet your education needs. HCPs are able to share knowledge with peers and faculty. Courses may be located at one of our locations or at another training facility. Symposium A panel of experts who discuss their experiences on a particular topic before a group of HCPs, to include: faculty, fellows and residents. The symposium is meant to be interactive with the panel answering attendees questions on solving tomorrow s challenges today. Platform for Education And Knowledge (PEAK) PEAK Events allow the HCPs to engage in lively discussion and debate with other HCP experts through an informal setting close to home. The HCP faculty provides lectures and/or case reviews on current clinical issues relating to the effective use of DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson products. Faculty could be present at the dinner or participating via real-time video conferencing. Worldwide Customer Visit (WWCV) A HCP or surgical team from the same institution visits a DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson site for a day. There is a customized agenda to meet the visitor s needs. The agenda typically includes product discussion and an introduction to DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson employees. This may also have a lab component if requested. Peer-to-Peer These programs are designed to provide an opportunity for experienced HCPs to discuss current trends with their colleagues. Participants contribute through case based presentations assigned by the course chairs; the objective is to enhance the HCPs knowledge and skills in treatment options for their patients. This interactive program is designed for a small number of participants. Tutorial A tutorial accommodates a small group of faculty and participants. The program typically includes observation of live surgery, didactic sessions and a group dinner. A second half day session may include hands-on anatomic training or a bioskills opportunity and case discussion. Small, Market Appropriate, interactive, Training (SMART) Lab These technique intensive programs are focused on the practicing HCP. SMART Labs may be particularly effective for experienced surgeons using a competitive system who have an interest in changing their operative protocol to DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson products or for experienced health care workers who provide the day-to-day patient care. OR Visitation Designed to provide the opportunity to meet experienced surgeons in either a one-on-one setting or in a small group. Participants observe live surgery and discuss surgical technique, indications and clinical results. This may also have a lab if requested and available. All programs may not be available for all divisions.
Flexible learning environments. Cutting-edge audio visual production equipment is available with on-site technical assistance. Classrooms can be setup in standard schoolroom style, u-shape, conference or pod settings to accommodate a variety of meeting formats. We offer video conferencing and presentation capabilities for multiple locations and connection types. Video conferencing can reduce time, cost and travel commitment while improving engagement between healthcare professionals and external persons. The Institute s auditorium provides you with the flexibility for presenting to large audiences. Breakout areas offer additional space for guests to gather outside of the classroom or laboratory. Seating areas are arranged throughout the facility, allowing for guests to connect and share in a less formal environment. State-of-the-art dry and wet labs can accommodate up to 19 stations. These laboratories provide hands-on learning experience to Orthopaedic and Neuroscience customers on the safe and effective use of DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson products. Delicious dining options are available through the Bistro at our Raynham, MA location. Quality catering services are provided at our other facilities.
