REMARKS FROM PAST STUDENTS "I learned theory of teaching from the course and shared practical experience from each other with the classmates and the lecturers." Beauty Industry Trainer The course has broadened my horizon in terms of enhancing my insight on the contemporary adult learning theories, teaching strategies, curriculum design, course assessment and evaluation. Most importantly, it provides me with up-to-date knowledge and skills to become an effective trainer and programme planner for adult education. - Police Chief Inspector The Graduate Diploma in Adult Education and Training is a professional and well designed programme. It helped to fulfill my education and training development needs, and provided a pathway for me to successfully complete an MEd degree at the University of Nottingham. I would especially like to express my thanks to the programme leader and support staff for their valuable assistance over the past years. Lecturer in Secretaryship and Office Administration The course provides comprehensive and professional knowledge and information on current adult education and training worldwide to its participants. The course is particularly powerful as it allows adult learners to learn from their own experience through active involvement in individual and group assignment. Inflight Service Trainer From Malcolm Knowles' andragogy theory to David Kolb's experiential learning, I put adult learning theory into practice and research! I love attending classes in the Diploma and I was also able to obtain some credit exemption for my Masters. I'm currently studying informal learning in science education and I was able to use many theories and models from adult education because it is also focused on motivation, learner self-directedness and lifelong learning. - PhD Student, North Carolina State University 6
