Leader in the cleantech industry Image: Alstom Helsinki to Lahti in one hour. The future logistics estate in the Lahti Region will total approximately 1000 hectares. The Lahti region is home to the country s second largest environmental technology cluster. A rapidly growing branch of industry, environmental business in the Lahti region is further boosted by the fact that Lahti has been entrusted with the leadership of the Finnish Cleantech Cluster until 2013. The cleantech industry specifically focuses on energy and material savings, eco-efficient solutions, recycling and the conversion of waste into energy.
