JobBridge internships and work placement services. Advice and access to any employment initiatives of relevance to your company. Workplace supports to assist employees with disabilities. Financial supports when creating new jobs, minimising the cashflow demands for your company.

Employment Supports and Services Skilled Job-Ready Candidates at Your Fingertips The Jobs Ireland employment service is an excellent support resource when your company is recruiting both now and in the future. Jobs Ireland gives you access to job-ready candidates. We offer a number of avenues to help you find the optimum candidate. Your vacancy can be advertised on our website; on our candidate-friendly Jobseeker App and through our nationwide network of offices. Work Experience Opportunities JobBridge Your company can enjoy significant benefits when you take on an unemployed person through JobBridge the National Internship Scheme. Your company can access potential future employees, tap into fresh new talent, fresh ideas, and fresh new thinking, as well as accessing newly trained and skilled workers. JobBridge also offers an important opportunity to jobseekers to gain valuable experience in a work environment, particularly for those looking to explore or gain the relevant knowledge and skills required to enter into a particular career. JobBridge provides internship opportunities of either 6 or 9 months duration and Interns receive an allowance of 50 on top of their existing social welfare payment for the duration of the internship. Work Experience Opportunities First Steps First Steps is a programme similar to JobBridge which provides work experience placements for Interns for a 6 or 9 month placement. First Steps is a work placement scheme for 18-24 year olds, who are signing on the live register and who have limited or no experience of work. The objective is to provide them with an opportunity to learn and develop work skills and gain relevant workplace experience. If you are interested in providing a placement under the First Steps scheme, register your Expression of Interest online via email to firststeps@welfare.ie. We will contact you with details of your First Steps opportunities and arrange suitable candidates. Work Placement Programme (WPP) The Work Placement Programme (WPP) brings employers and jobseekers who are currently unemployed together for a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 9 months placement. Employers benefit from having someone contribute to their business, whilst also enhancing the skills and career prospects of the individual. Employers who are interested in providing a WPP work placement can complete the online Application Form, in conjunction with the Application Guidelines, which are available on www.welfare.ie.

Workplace Supports for Employees A More Inclusive Approach to Employment A number of practical supports and allowances are available to your company to proactively assist the participation of people with a disability in the workforce. If you have not employed a person with a disability before, or wish to retain an employee who has acquired an impairment or illness, we can provide the funding to make it happen for you. The supports we provide include: Wage Subsidy Scheme Employee Retention Scheme Workplace Equipment and Adaptation Grant Personal Reader Grant Job Interviewer Interpreter Grant Disability Awareness Training Support Scheme Other Supports The National Disability Authority is the independent state body providing expert advice on disability policy and practice. JobsPlus New Jobs, Less Cost JobsPlus in an employer incentive which encourages and rewards employers who offer employment opportunities to people who are long term unemployed on the Live Register. JobsPlus is a simple scheme for employers to access, offering up to 10,000 for a qualifying recruit, payable on a monthly basis over a two year period. Employers can register online at www.jobsplus.ie to be approved as an eligible employer. Approved employers who take on an eligible employee will receive a cash incentive, payable monthly in arrears, over a two year period.

JobsPlus Save up to 10,000 for each new employee recruited with JobsPlus The levels of incentive are: 7,500 for recruits unemployed for more than 12 months, but less than 24 months; 7,500 for recruits aged under 25 years of age (JobsPlus Youth) and unemployed for at least 4 months in the previous 6 months, and 10,000 for recruits unemployed for more than 24 months. JobsPlus is available to employers who: Offer any full time employment of over 30 hours per week, spanning at least four days per week for eligible recruits. Fill new vacancies including opportunities due to natural turnover. Are fully compliant with Irish tax and employment laws. Ensure eligible jobs do not displace any existing employee.
