Its research and development, manufacturing and marketing (UK and Overseas) departments are all based at Elstree on the outskirts of London. The Solution CommonTime msuite offered a flexible future-proof wireless email solution, specifically engineered for Lotus Notes. Nitin Patel, BPL IT Department, explained the reasons behind BPL choosing CommonTime s products: we chose msuite for its ease of use and setup msuite was competitively priced compared to other solutions msuite uses same model as Lotus Notes Domino CommonTime focus on designing solely for IBM Lotus Notes Domino, not trying to shoe horn a MS solution. PDA/mobile network independent BPL could choose most appropriate devices and networks for our organization straight-forward, simple system, with good security and excellent admin functionality good security - the "kill all" which is important as some data is sensitive Established as an organisational standard, msuite s functionality and robust nature offered BPL the solution it was looking for. The Architecture The Results Following an initial pilot, BPL purchased 50 msuite licenses and are planning to rollout a further 20+. Once we knew it was working and our pilot was up and running, we had a large number of people requesting them! - Nitin Patel, Bio Products Laboratory "It really was a successful project, made easy by the software working and as CommonTime used the same model as Domino there was no need for huge training or understanding curve to go through. People who travel as part of their roles can now pick up email - anywhere in the world and we've done this without a huge cost to the business."- Doug Morton IT Manager, Bio Products Laboratory "The msuite project has met all the key business objectives including providing the endusers especially the remote staff, the mobility and flexibility of Email/Calendar access and successful implementation of the project within the budget and timescale."- Nitin Patel, Bio Products Laboratory Benefits for BPL: Good satisfaction feedback from users and their management A solution that was easy to implement with high benefits Elimination of the risk that mobilising sensitive data can often present, due to the enterprise-strength security of the msuite solution. AES end-to-end encryption Opportunity to develop the mobile strategy beyond email, mobilising BPL s CRM application using CommonTime s rapid mobile application development tool, mforms. Business continuity can be maintained because mforms operates over the same msuite mobile infrastructure CommonTime Limited CommonTime.
