International carrier VoIP continues to grow International carrier services offer considerable growth opportunities for those equipped to capitalise on them. VoIP continues to grow rapidly as the basis for international long distance telephony driven by lower equipment costs, rapid deployment and flexible capacity. But it can also prove to be a complex area to navigate, populated with many carriers and marked by frequently changing rates. DIGITALK's recognised track record in the international prepaid market coupled with its reputation for real-time reporting, rating and management, has led established service providers as well as new operators entering the wholesale arena to turn to us for guidance and support. Carrier Cloud incorporates full carrier rates management, automated routing with extensive monitoring, wholesale billing and reporting, plus easy to use business intelligence dashboards, which help to drive down costs and increase profitability. Built on our own Session Border Controller technology, DIGITALK Carrier Cloud has the foundations to enable rapid and sustainable wholesale growth. With DIGITALK Carrier Cloud, we get a quick and ready-to-use solution supporting our network call routing and management requirements. It simplifies our approach and will help us grow our international voice traffic to match our ambitions. Tariq Siddique Director Voice Services You focus on the business, while we do the technology We explored a number of options, looking for the best means to smooth the path to market and to focus on the service offer. DIGITALK Carrier Cloud has enabled us to do just that, allowing us to gain early market visibility and to grow capacity. John Diamond Wholesale Managing Director Route, rate and bill on one cloud platform We've used our significant experience delivering advanced solutions to international communications providers world-wide to build a complete carrier wholesale capability as an integrated cloud service. So DIGITALK Carrier Cloud incorporates the interconnect setup, rates management, margin-based routing, wholesale billing and business intelligence needed to drive down costs and increase profitability. And with call routing delivered on a secure, highly scalable and high availability Session Border Controller, you can offer outstanding voice call quality and service availability without having to design, build, manage and maintain the network. Most importantly, as a carrier-neutral environment, DIGITALK Carrier Cloud does not place any limitations on the agreements and opportunities our customers want to establish and exploit. 1

Maximise margins and quality minimise business risk We recognise that ensuring both margins and quality as traffic grows and rates and performance change is a highly complex activity. So we ve included the tools to allow service providers to set the parameters and controls on which they want to build their services. And to minimise liability risks, service providers can choose to set real-time customer balance limits, pre- or post-paid. With international traffic continuing to grow, DIGITALK Carrier Cloud provides a complete and scalable network and management solution to meet the current and future needs of this highly competitive market. Scalable, high availability carrier inter-working Business Intelligence Peering Manager DIGITALK Carrier Cloud is based on our Session Border Controller, a distinct component specifically designed to support carrier interconnect routing. SIP, SIP-T H.323 RTP Carriers SBC Signalling Server Routing Server SBC Media Server SIP, SIP-T H.323 RTP Carriers Incorporating flexible carrier interconnects based on SIP, SIP-T and H.323, as well DTMF inter-working and dynamic transcoding, the DIGITALK Session Border Controller maximises both customer and supplier opportunities. Service providers can establish multiple services with distinct destinations, rates and quality to meet specific customer requirements. Carrier Cloud ensures full visibility of traffic, revenues and margins, plus the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues from high level performance metrics right down to the protocol exchange. Superior Business Intelligence Combining high performance data discovery, analysis, reporting and dashboards, Carrier Cloud Business Intelligence provides new insights into traffic, performance and business metrics, highlighting trends with comparative data enabling operators to quickly identify urgent calls to action. Reports and dashboards can be accessed from any smartphone device or tablet ensuring that sales, finance and operations have access to the essential reports from any location at any time. 2

Case Study Situation Based in Pakistan, the service provider is also active in the Asian sub-continent and the Gulf region, offering services ranging from calling cards and call shops to international terminations. Requirements The customer wanted to reduce their equipment, training and support costs across their operations by consolidating their infrastructure on a single vendor platform for both retail consumer and wholesale carrier services. They also wanted to take full control of their carrier routing and termination agreements and decisions, without limitations or penalties for using their preferred interconnects. Solution DIGITALK provides support for the customer s Carrier and Consumer requirements. DIGITALK Carrier Cloud enables the customer both to take full control of their own carrier routing options and to offer international termination services to other operators and businesses. On the DIGITALK Consumer Cloud, the operator has the opportunity to offer a full range of pre- and post-paid services, including calling cards, PINless dialing and residential indirect access. Benefits The service provider has fully achieved their ambition to consolidate all their wholesale and retail services. As a result, there is no longer a need to cross-train operations staff on different equipment or to engage with multiple vendors to address new service requirements, reducing costs and speeding time to market for new requirements. The customer is also now no longer restricted to the limited range of carrier choices offered by their previous provider, and so is free to establish their own agreements and prices to achieve the quality and margin that they need to succeed. About DIGITALK We help service providers navigate and prosper in the changing world of communications services. We know how important it is to be agile, to adapt swiftly and easily to whatever comes along and to provide whatever support our customers need along the way. So we make it our business to provide flexible solutions that help you navigate whatever lies ahead - and we'll be there to support you and ensure your long term success.
