ReviewSnap Quick Training Reference Creating a Self-Review The ReviewSnap system features a simple self-review form that is integrated with the employee s goal set and year-end performance review. The 5 sections of the self-review include: 1: Answer 7 self-reflection questions 2: Self-assess progress in meeting the current year s goals 3: Identify goals for the next annual review cycle 4: Overall comments 5: Finalize At any step of the self-review a user may save their work and exit the system and be able to return to complete the review at a later time. Steps to Creating a Self-Review 1) From the main landing page, click on the Manage Reviews or Manage Employees link on the menu bar within the Review Process tab. The name of this link varies depending on the which roles have been assigned to the user. 1

2) Select your own record so that your information appears in the Employee Information section. 2 3) Click on the Create or Complete a Review link 3

4) Select the appropriate review period by clicking on the review period drop down list. 4 5) You will then be prompted to confirm your selection by clicking on the OK button. 5

6) Select the appropriate Self-Review template by clicking on Select a Template drop down list. 6 7) Review your selection and click on the Continue button 7

8) Enter responses to questions 1-7 in the text boxes provided under each question. 8 9) Before moving to the next step of the self-review it is recommended that you click Save Only to save your responses to questions 1-7. 10) Then, click on the Next button to move to step 2 of the Self-Review. 9 10 11) If a goal set has been created for the current review period these goals will appear in the Review Progress in Meeting Goals section of the self-review and you may enter your comments regarding your progress in meeting these goals in the text box provided. Note that if a goal set for the current review period has not been created the system will automatically skip this section of the self-review. 12) Goals can be updated in this section if need be by clicking on the Update link associated with each goal.

13) Once goals are updated and comments are entered it is recommended that you click the Save Only button to save your responses before proceeding to the next section. 14) Click Next to move to the next step of the self-review. 12 11 14 13 15) The next step of the self-review provides the opportunity to create a goal set for the next year s review cycle. The goal set created in this section will be subject to further additions and edits by the evaluation manager as part of the performance review. To create a goal click on Create a Goal (see Quick Training Reference for Creating Goals for instructions on adding goals). Repeat as needed until all goals are entered. 16) Once all goals have been entered click on the Next button.

15 16 17) In the final section Overall Comments you may enter comments regarding your overall performance or any other information that you wish to share with your evaluation manager. 18) It is recommended that you click on the Save Only button to save your responses before proceeding to the next step of the self-review. 19) Click on Next to move to the final step of the self-review. 17 19 18

20) To finalize the self-review make sure that Finalize Review is selected in the drop down menu (Finalize Review is the default selection and should appear automatically). 21) Select Click here to finalize this review to finalize the self-review and electronically route it to your evaluation manager. Note that once you click this link to finalize the review you will not be able to reopen or edit any portion of the review and the self-review process will be complete. 22) To save and exit the review without finalizing click on the Click here to save this review and exit. This will permit you to return to it later to make further edits and finalize. 20 21 22 23) If, before finalizing, you wish to return to a previous section of the self-review to make edits you may select the section you would like to return to from the drop down list and the system will return you to that section.

23 24) If, before finalizing the review, you wish to send a note regarding your self-review to one of the managers in your supervisory chain you may click on the Click here to send a notification about this review link, which will spawn the screen shot displayed under #24 below (the system will not permit you to send a notification after you have already finalized it). 24 25) Check off the boxes of the individuals you wish to send a note to and enter your note in the text box provided and then click the Send button.

23 26) Once you send the note you may click on the Continue link to reopen the self-review and finalize it. 24
