Montgomery College (MC) MC is a public, open admissions community college in Montgomery County, Md., with campuses in Germantown, Rockville, and Takoma Park/Silver Spring and several other off site locations (Gaithersburg, Westfield South), and growing. It ranks second in the state, behind the University of Maryland, College Park, serving nearly 60,000 students annually, through both credit and noncredit courses and training programs through its Workforce Development and Continuing Education division. Helping People Pursue their Entrepreneurial Dreams FastTrac programs serve existing and aspiring entrepreneurs in non-academic environments. FastTrac has served more than 300,000 entrepreneurs since 1993. FastTrac programs are delivered by a variety of affiliate organizations including chambers of commerce, business development centers, colleges, and many others. Program Overview at Montgomery College Kauffman Foundation FastTrac (R) has joined with Montgomery College to support future and current business owners before, during, and after the start-up process. Aspiring entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs will: Receive information, resources, and networking tools to develop their idea or to transform and improve performance of their already existing business. Be mentored by successful area entrepreneurs, who will be invited as speakers each week during class. Meet other aspiring entrepreneurs who will provide support throughout the program and beyond. 16
