Typically customers will utilise a managed dedicated SAN implementation with Tier 1 storage to deliver a service for predictable enterprise application needs and then look to the multi-tenanted cloud platform for bursting, Tier 2 file storage, archiving, and disaster recovery. However, if customers have less predictable workloads, Tier 1 cloud storage is also used for enterprise apps. Microsoft Exchange Environment: The improved archiving capability, which started in Exchange 2010, has given our customers the ability to use a mixture of storage tiers to gain a more aligned cost profile to fit the business requirement.
