English 1. Construction (AE, AirA, CUBUS, LCO, REC, COMPO) All PLC cabinets have the same construction (except TV). Extruded anodized aluminium profiles articulated around injected reinforced polypropylene corner modules. Panels are doubleskin 0,8mm, exterior in prepainted steel (5 µm primer + 20 µm de polyester), interior in galvanized steel (DIN 17162). Thermal and acoustic insulation is done with 15mm PSE M1 treated panels (density 30 Kg/m³) between skins. 30 mm panels are available in option for the COMPO and REC X series and are standard for the REC HR DUO, HRg and RHRm series. For TV series see specific documentation. 2. Assembling modules (AE, LCO, REC, COMPO) Assembling 2 modules requires 4 sets of 1 bolt / 2 washers / 1 nut / 1 brace delivered with the cabinet. Refer to appendix 2 for assembly. 3. Fans (AE, AirA, CUBUS, TV, LCO, REC, COMPO) All fans are direct driven centrifugal fans with forward curved blades. Please refer to the specific identification label on the motor side of the fan. It is compulsory to control and respect the intensity (Amps) and temperaturature ( C) limitations prescribed. 3.1 wiring Before connecting the power supply, verify the following checkpoints : - The power supply s voltage and frequency correspond to the one specifiied ont the fan s label. - The wiring is done according to : the appropriate wiring diagram (see appendix 1), the low voltage directive, to the european standards and directives, to all other applicable local regulations; - The motor and housing grounding is correctly wired (This must be done by the installer); - The thermal protection of the motor is properly wired (only valid for AC motors with external thermal protection - identified by an' i ' in the fan s name-, most motors have an internal protection); - Power cables are not in contact with the fan s housing or blower wheel.; - Motors must be protected by an appropriate disjunctor (see: Amperage values on label on the fan, and consider peak start amperage). Wiring schematic: AC fans: see schematics in appendix 1. TAC fans: see installation manual delivered with the control box. 3.2. Starting up the fan When starting the fan, control the following checkpoints: - The wheel can turn freely; - The rotation of the wheel is correct; - The effective absorbed power at the nominal voltage is located between the limits specified on the fan s label. If not, before reconsidering the fan s selection, check or modify the pressure the system s pressure. - The installation and wiring is compliant to the applied regulations; - All legal safety precautions have been taken to avoid any danger created by the rotating parts of the fan. 3.3. Working conditions The fans are designed to move air. The air s temperature must not be inferior to -10 C for TAC fans and -30 C for AC fans. The maximum allowed air temperature will depend on the application, but must never be superior to the maximum temperature specidfied on the fan s label. Unless otherwise specified, the fans are not designed to operate in aggressive or explosive air conditions. The fan is designed to operate continuously, and must not be started/stopped more frequently than once every 5 minutes. 3.4 Speed controllers (ES) All monophased non TAC fans may use PLC approved speed controllers (ES series). The selection must be done considering the total absorbed intensity of the fan(s) several fans can be controlled by one speed controller - at nominal voltage and frequency. For more information consult the instalaltion manual provided with the ES speed controller.

3.5 Inspection maintenance The power supply must always be shut down before proceding to an inspection or maintenance. Check for damaged or dirty blower wheel and/or motor If necessary clean the dirty parts with dry cloths. Be careful not to remove the balancing clips while proceding. Respect IP class (see label on fan housing) of fan while doing so. After restarting the unit always verify in the application conditions that the total absorbed amperage at nominal frequency is still within the limits. See label on fan housing. 4. Water/air and freon/air coils (AE, AirA, LCO, REC, COMPO) All coils are made of copper tubing and aluminium fins, and are factory water tested at 32 bars. We advise: - Always to protect the coils by installing/replacing appropriate filters; - To respect the 'IN/OUT' indications present on the hydraulic connection of the coil; - To take all necessary precautions against water-freezing risk; - To limit frontal airspeed on the coil to 3,5 m/s for heating; - To limit frontal airspeed on the coil to 2,9 m/s for cooling without dropcatchers, to 3,2 m/s with foam type drop catchers and to 3,5 m/s with aluminium chicane' type drop catchers. Before starting up cooling coils, the following checks must be carried out : (LCO, REC, COMPO): - Water and air tightness of the condensate drip pan and connections; - The connection between the drip pan and the drain siphon is perfectly air tight.; - The height of the siphon is minimum 120 mm; - A ventilation of the siphon is present on the downstream side; - The slope of the drain tubes is at least 1 cm/m; - The siphon is accessible for maintenance. 5. Air / air heat exchanger (REC) Before starting the unit control the following points : - Water and air tightness of the condensate drip pan and connections; - The connection between the drip pan and the drain siphon is perfectly air tight.; - The height of the siphon is minimum 120 mm; - The underpressure can not be higher than 350 Pa; - A ventilation of the siphon is present on the downstream side; - The slope of the drain tubes is at least 1 cm/m; - The siphon is accessible for maintenance. We also advise: - Always to protect the coils by installing/replacing appropriate filters; - To take all necessary precautions against water-freezing risk; particularly for high efficiency exchangers - To limit frontal airspeed on the coil to 2,5 m/s for the REC X series and 2,0 m/s for the HR series 6. Electrical coil (AirA, LCO, REC, COMPO) All electric heating coils are manufactured with armoured elements designed for air applications. Connections Each electrical coil is delivered with a regulation (RKW or RLGE) and is fully wired. See joined installation manual. Thermal security The electric coil is protected by two thermostats connected in series: one with manual reset, the other with automatic reset and both commanding a normally closed contact. These must be connected to the control circuit (and not to the power circuit). When overheating occurs, the system works as follows : Tthe thermal protections detect the overheating and shut off the heater's command circuit. The first protection with automatic reset shuts off at 75 C and switches on again after a short period only in case of a temporary malfunctionning. Only if the overheating lasts will the second thermal protection (with manual reset) shut off at 115 C. In this case the cause of the failure will absolutely have to be identified before resetting the knob, since the overheating is due to a more important problem (ex : defective ventilator, unsufficient airflow).

Attention! 1. It is strictly forbidden to supply the heating coil with power while the fan is not running!! If TAC fan: wire the FAN ON contact of the SAT3 in serie with the control circuit of the electrical coil. 2. After installation check if the heat accumulation inside the unit after shut-off does not cause the manual thermostat to disconnect. If this is the case. you may need to connect a time switch allowing the fan to function for at least 90 seconds after the heater's shut down. If TAC fan: this functionnality is standard in all our CB TAC3 (see advanced setup) 3. If an electronic speed control is used, the switch has to be short-circuited. 4. Do not connect the thermal protections in series with the power supply. 5. The circuit breakers are to be provided by the installer. 6. All connections have to be made according to the electric standards or the enforced local legislation. 7. We will not give any guarantee on the electrical part of the unit if no RKW (LCO, REC, COMPO) or RLGE (AirA) is installed (or an equivalent system). 7. Filters (AE, LCO, REC, COMPO) The filter mounted is selected according to the unit considered. It can range from a G3 class filter to a F8 class filter. Special filters (active coal, electronic) can, if available, also be provided. It is very important to control regularly the clogging state of the filter). We advise, as a thumb rule, to change filters when the resulting counterpressure generated by tjhe filter has risen by 50 to 100% of its initial pressure (clean filter). For replacement filters you can contact direclty Camfil or Deltrian. If the filter is exageratly clogged the consequences are: - insufficient airflow caused by the consequent pressure rise; - motor rotation speed increase resulting in increased noise level; - excessive motor heat rise provoking switching of the thermal protections, and if repetitive can fatally damage the motor windings; - mechanical filter rupture, resulting in unfiltered air being distributed by the fan, and excessive airflow. 8. Compliance (AE, AirA, CUBUS, TV, LCO, REC, COMPO) All above mentionned cabinets are designed to be fully compliant to CE regulations. See appendix 3 at end of document. This compliance does not withdraw the installer from usual responsabilities of conformity of installation to applicable regulations. 9. Garantee (AE, AirA, CUBUS, TV, LCO, REC, COMPO) P. Lemmens Company provides a one year guarantee on all cabinets. The guarantee consists only in the replacement the faulty component and does not cover any indirect costs. The guarantee date starts at the date of invoicing. The guarantee is not valid if: - The installation has not been carried out according to the appropriate instructions described above; - The failure is due to incorrect wiring, or unadapted application; - The failure is due to or to excessive clogging of the filter; - The failure is due to modifications brought to the original wiring of the fan or of the electrical coils, or to the balancing of the fan; - The failure is due to repairs made by unqualified personnel; - The failure is due to the use of a non PLC (ES serie) speed controller; - The resulting voltage after a ES speed controller is lower than 130V.
