A guide has been created to further assist you in setting up those security questions called: The OnGuard Security Question Setup Guide

The OnGuard Security Question Setup Guide This document is a guide for customers who are either setting up their OnGuard security questions for the first time, or have asked to have their questions re-set by the Customer Service Center. Introduction to OnGuard In The Bank of Greene County s continuing effort to protect your financial information, we are providing a new security feature called OnGuard. The OnGuard security feature provides strong authentication to protect your online account from unauthorized access. OnGuard uses a series of personal questions, and tracks the way you access our secure site. At each logon, OnGuard will check the way you are accessing our site. When there are certain access changes, and the certain intervals, OnGuard will challenge you to answer one of your personal questions to ensure your identity. There is no additional hardware or software required. It is simple, safe and reliable. Please proceed to the next page for detailed instructions.

1. There are 5 OnGuard security questions that you must be set up before you can access your internet banking. There is 1 primary question, and 4 additional questions. Please note: You must pick 5 different questions do not pick and answer the same question more than once! a) Set up the first (Primary) security question by clicking on the Drop-Down* arrow, which is located next to the Security Question field * and selecting the desired question. The first (primary) question is slightly different than the following additional 4 questions because it is the only question where the answer is displayed to you as visible text in your internet banking session and it is the only question where you must enter your email address. b) Type in your answer to the Security Question in the Answer field * exactly the same way as you will answer the question in the future. ** **(Please Note: If you type in an answer and spell it incorrectly while entering it into the Answer: field, the OnGuard system will expect you to type it in EXACTLY the same way, or it will not validate your answer (Example: If you type in the name of your first instrument as drumms with an extra letter m instead of just one letter m the system will expect you to type in drumms before it will allow you to login.). Failure to type it in exactly will result in the locking of your account as a protective security measure. c) Type your E-mail address in the E-mail Address field. Please make sure this is correct/current as any notifications or Email correspondence from The Bank of Greene County will be based on this email address. Please update your email address in your internet banking settings promptly whenever there is a change to it. Security Question field Drop-Down arrow Answer field E-Mail Address field

d) Once the primary question is answered, scroll down and answer the next 4 questions by selecting the Drop-Down arrow and answering different questions. The next 4 questions will appear slightly different as follows: Your answers to the questions will need to be entered into the Response field. Because the only answer that is visible is the answer you provided for the Primary question; all response s that are provided to the next 4 questions will be masked or disguised as * (asterisks) so that someone looking over your shoulder cannot tell what you are typing. Once you have responded to the 4 questions, it is very important that you Click the Save button when finished or you may have to start from scratch! After the Save button is clicked, The system will record your personal information and should then authorize your secure access to your personal Internet Banking Account Summary page.
