Emergency Boat Operations for Fire, Rescue, and Law Enforcement This new course was developed using the National Fire Academy Fire Service Course Design model to assist Fire, Rescue and Law Enforcement agencies with qualification and certification under NFPA 1006, Rescue Technician Professional Qualifications. This course will be approved for personnel wanting to become auxiliary (assisting) instructors, or become Level 1 NCOEMS instructors. The classes will start Friday, April 15 from 6-10 pm, Saturday and Sunday, April 16-17 from 8am - 5 pm; and Friday, April 29 from 6-10 pm, Saturday and Sunday, April 30-May 1 from 8 am - 5 pm. Testing and Evaluations will be on Saturday, May 7 from 8 am - 5 pm. Interested candidates need to pre-register and purchase a Methodology Instructor Manual (available in the College Store) prior to the first date of class. Emergency Medical Technician - Intermediate will also be offered beginning May 23, 2005. Classes will be held on Monday and Wednesday nights (6 pm - 10 PM) and one eight-hour Saturday every other month (8 am - 4 pm). The class will be limited to 30 students. The top 30 scorers, as placed by the assessment center dates on the first night of class, will be chosen to take the course. Students will be scored on an EMT-Basic exam, Math Skills, and Reading Skills. Please register at the Emergency Training Center 11:30 am - 4 pm Monday thru Thursday and 8 am - 12 pm on Friday or register at, Continuing Education Department.
