Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) with SP1, SharePoint Foundation Server 2010, or SharePoint 2010 needs to be installed and configured per one of Microsoft s supported architectures. 2. Microsoft SQL Server 2005 SP2 (Standard or Enterprise) or Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 The latest supported SharePoint updates are not required but strongly recommended. 1 P a g e

SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) 2008 R2 in Integrated Mode Although SSRS 2008 in Integrated Mode is not required, it is the only version/mode of SSRS that is supported by WorkEngine. If using NTLM Authentication: The SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) application is recommended to be installed on one of the web servers in your SharePoint Farm. Although the SSRS application is recommended to be installed on one of the web servers in your farm, the database for SSRS should still reside in the farm s SQL Server environment. Kerberos or SharePoint Integrated mode using Trusted Account authentication should be configured and used to resolve the.net double-hop issue in SharePoint farms with more than 1 WFE server. If using Kerberos Authentication: The SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) application can be installed on any server in the farm but must be installed on a server within the same domain. 4. Confirm Internet connectivity This is required for WorkEngine key activation and software download. If connectivity cannot be obtained, please provide the farm GUID (Feature Keys page) and a manual key can be generated for you for activation of the software. Also, note that if you use a proxy server a manual key will need to be created as well. 2 P a g e
3.0 Required Information Prior to Installation 1. SharePoint Application Pool Account 2. SharePoint Central Administration Application Pool Account 3. You need to also ensure that the report manager URL is configured and resolves. Note that in SharePoint integrated mode this URL still must be configured. 4.0 Client Desktop (Optional) 1. If web page customization is needed install SharePoint Designer 2007 or SharePoint Designer 2010 accordingly. Depending on the amount of customizations to the web pages, SharePoint Designer 2007 may need to be installed in order to make customizations to the web pages. 2. ActiveX Only required for WorkEngine Gantt Control and Resource Planner. If users do not have the ability to install the control on their computer the control can be pushed to all clients from the server. 3. SilverLight 4.0 Only required for the WorkEngine charts.
