The Chinese Children's Golden Bell Music Contest (Canada) Proposal 1. Authority The Organizing Committee of the Chinese Golden Bell Award for Music Guangdong Radio and TV Station 2. Organiser Xi Yang Yang Media (China & Canada) 3. Beneficiary Canadian Liver Foundation 4. Introduction The Chinese Golden Bell Awards for Music is a comprehensive music competition and a national top-level music event in China. The Chinese Small Golden Bell (CSGB) is one of the sub-events of the Chinese Golden Bell Awards for Music. Authorized by the Organizing Committee of the Chinese Golden Bell Awards for Music, sponsored by Guangdong Radio and TV Station and hosted by Guangzhou Xi Yang Yang Media Co. Ltd (China & Canada), the CSGB Music Contest will not only cultivate music talents, but also serve as a platform for musical children to share and exchange mutually. The Chinese Children's Golden Bell Music Contest has vocal and musical instrument competitions. Besides these, it has a series of events and activities like the CSGB dance preliminary, CSGB host preliminary, CSGB goodwill ambassador preliminary, CSGB global travel for music, CSGB child star public service performance, CSGB award ceremony for public service micro films, etc. Canada can serve as a multi-cultural and multi-national musical platform. Canada will be the first overseas contest of CSGB event, which will attract children from different culture and communities to join this event. The final contest will be in Guangzhou, China. A fund raising Canada final for Canada liver foundation will be made simultaneously. This will serve as promotion for cultural exchange and art development between China and Canada. 5. Contestants All children from 8 to 17 years-old who live in Canada are invited to participate in the Contest. the Contest is divided into two age groups: 8-12 years-old and13-17 years-old. No any registration fee for the Contest. 6. Categories (1) Musical group (2) Instrumental music group 7. Schedule (1) Audition in Canada: from May to September, 2015 (2) Semi-final in Canada: September 26 & 27, 2015 (3) Final in Canada: October 10, 2015 (Vancouver Playhouse) (4) Global Final and Awards Ceremony: December 16-18, 2015 (Guangzhou, China) 8. Jury Panel Organizers will invite local senior musicians as members of the Jury Panel. 9. Incentives and Awards (1) Each group selected the "Top Ten", and awarded a certificate. (2) Top Three in each category will get the chance to participate in the Global Finals in Guangzhou, China. (3) The instructor or music school for the winners, will be awarded "Music Education Achievement Award". (4) Recommend or arrange the winners to participate in local and China's performances and other events. 10. Local Promotion (1) Media release, advertisements and application forms in Canadian media, including newspapers, magazines, radio stations, websites and social media. (2) Event poster in music schools, community centers, shopping malls and other places. (3) Official contest website with the publicity and open for registration. (3) Internet Media (first class internet media) Sina, Sohu, Tencent, Netease, Xinhua, Phoenix, Yahoo, TOM, MSN, 21CN, Huanqiu, China.com, HC360, CHINANEWS, CCTV, Qianlong, Youth.cn, Ce.cn, Morning News, YNET, Dayoo, Hexun, Southcn, Chinadaily, Zgswcn, Gmw and other internet media will make intensive reports about this musical competition. 12. Profile The fourth Chinese Children's Small Golden Bell Music Contest was preliminarily held in 2014 in 35 different sites in Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Guangxi, Hunan, Hainan, Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou, Shenzheng, Zhuhai, Shantou, Qingyuan, Zhanjiang, Yunfu, Zhongshan, Foshan, Taishan and Jiangmen. It was so tremendous that nearly 100,000 children signed up the contest and showed their musical skills. The contest evoked warm enthusiasm. The semi-final was held in Guangzhou Culture Park, where 150 contestants competed for 50 entries to the final. The final took place in Luogang Children's Palace in Guangzhou. The award ceremony was held in Baiyun Conference Center in Guangzhou, where over 8,000 audiences shared the winners' joys for their successes and witnessed their musical legends.
