2 Competition Vision Find Omani Talented youth in the field of Information Security and showcase their achievements through Oman National CERT Channels to promote Information Security Culture in Oman. Create a communication knowledge sharing bridge between OCERT and ambassadors through providing some methods to discover youth s achievements in Information Security field. Aims & Goals Promote Research & Development among the Cybersecurity Ambassadors. Find talented local capabilities within the Sultanate. Promote fair and productive competition between Cybersecurity Ambassadors. Showcase submitted competition entries and winning entries. Encourage Cybersecurity Ambassadors to proactively seek guidance and support from fellow members. 3 General Conditions and Roles Project coordinator Must be a registered as cybersecurity ambassador Maximum member in each team is 4 including the project coordinator. 4 Track 1 Best Information Security Project (Hardware and/or Software) This track is all about creativity in the field of creating a successful Information Security Project that could be either a Hardware or a Software (or could be both). Participating project should be a solution to an existing problem in the InfoSec. Domain.It is important to clearly describe the problem or challenge your project is attempting to resolve and what drove you to build such a solution. The size of the project is not a major factor, however simple solutions to major issues is always appreciated. Provide clear vision and plan for the project idea, which could be an application, program or hardware by describe the solution this project solve. Judging Criteria Criteria Weightage Complete registration form 10% Simplicity 10% Creativity 15% Problem and Solution clarity 20% Project implementation 20% Team work 15% Relativity to Oman 10% Suggested Fields Incidents response. 5 Track 2 Best Information Security Academic Research Paper Produce theoretical or practical white papers on Information Security different fields i.e. technologies, facts, news, survey reports, statistics etc. You are free to select any topic or field, but the paper should address a particular field in Information Security with the personal findings and effort of the team member(s). It is also advisable to support your findings with facts from trusted sources, although plagiarism is not acceptable, so please make sure to add a references section in your papers. 6 Track 3 Best Awareness Program Security awareness materials, which could be poster, booklet, brochure, leaflet, video, audio, game, film or portfolio. In simple words anything that could spread Information Security Message which is Information Security is everyone s responsibility. The awareness program should be well documented and the materials created should up to the standards accepted from the Cybersecurity Ambassadors in terms of quality, creativity and originality.
