It is important the Licensing Requirements for Child Care Programs be read in its entirety as the requirement sections have been reformatted and language has also been revised to provide important licensing clarifications. This online review will only highlight requirement revisions specific to your program type. Completion of this online review is necessary to verify the program director's review of Licensing Requirements for Child Care Programs 2016 revisions. The Director of each program is required to complete this online review for their specific program type by 01/01/2016. Any other program personnel associated with the program may take this review as well to assist with understanding these changes. Anyone completing this review will receive 3 hours of formal professional development training credit. Upon starting this review, you will be able to stop and begin again as needed. Once you have finished reviewing the 2016 revisions for Licensing Requirements for Child Care Programs for your specific program type, you will be given the opportunity to save and print a copy of the revision checklist, as well as a copy of the acknowledgement form. During your licensing monitoring visits beginning on or after January 1, 2016, licensing specialist will ask for a copy of the program

director s acknowledgement form to retain in the licensing file as verification of the review of the 2016 revisions for Licensing Requirements for Child Care Programs. Even though other program personnel may complete the online review, only the program director's acknowledgement form is needed for licensing. Should a program director not be able to print the acknowledgement form, save a copy of the acknowledgement form and email it to CCSRevisions@okdhs.org upon your completion of the online review. During licensing visits on or after January 1, 2016, licensing will provide the program director a copy of their acknowledgment form for your program records. To access and begin viewing the 2016 revision for Licensing Requirements for Child Care Programs licensed as Child Care Centers, Day Camps, Drop-In Programs, Out-of-School Time Programs, (formerly known as school-age) Part-Day Programs and Programs for Sick Children go to http://okchildcarelms.oucpm.org. Joining us as a presenter will be a parent, who is also a current Family Child Care Provider, sharing her personal experiences of raising a child with both down syndrome and autism. Her hope is to share their story and allow others to see that all children are more alike than different. This course will help child care providers understand that all children have diverse needs, how to respond to the needs and their families positively, and to be receptive to personal change in order to better a child. Early Learning Guidelines: Infants, Toddlers & Twos This training consists of the Introduction and Implementation of the Oklahoma Early Learning Guidelines for Infants, Toddlers, and Twos. These scholarships enable child care providers in Oklahoma to improve their skills through education, receive an educational stipend and continue the availability of quality child care in local communities. Mission Statement The Scholars for Excellence in Child Care Program ensures that eligible child care professionals in the state of Oklahoma have an opportunity to attend a technology center or community college to further their education while earning a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, Certificate of Mastery, Director s Certificate of Completion, and/or an associate degree in child development or early childhood education.
