Self-Service Onboarding: Get Access to Smart Net Total Care Portal Hi everyone, Thank you for your interest in Smart Net Total Care! We are excited to launch the Self-Service Onboarding capability to self-register and get access to the portal. I am writing this blog to provide an overview of the registration process. I have included screenshots to illustrate wherever applicable. For more information visit "New to Smart Net Total Care" page on the community or refer to the "Self- Service Onboarding FAQ". If you have any questions or suggestions please start a new discussion in the community. Prerequisites for Self-Service Onboarding: You must have a valid Cisco Account Profile (registered CCO user). One or more smart-entitled contract must be associated with your profile (Examples of smart-entitled contracts include SMARTnet which is now Smart Net Total Care, SP Base, TelePresence, Essential Operate, Solution Support). A valid business email address must be specified in your profile (no personal email domains such as @yahoo, @gmail, @hotmail and others). You must be willing to be the Delegated Administrator for your organization. If you are unwilling, do not proceed with the registration process. Please identify another person within your organization that will be suited for the Delegated Administrator role and invite that person to self-register. [Note: The Delegated Administrator is responsible for managing access to additional users
and administrators in their organization. A network administrator is likely to be a good fit for this role]. Step 1: Request Access to the Smart Net Total Care Portal This section provides a description of the process for requesting access to the Smart Net Total Care portal. It includes screenshots to illustrate what you will see at each step along the way. 1. Go to Smart Net Total Care Registration Page Click on Register under Go Proactive. 2. Login Page Log in with a valid Cisco account (CCO User ID & Password).
3. Self-Service Registration Overview Page You will be taken to the overview page that provides information on: High-level overview of the service Steps to self-register Roles and responsibilities of the user Please click on Become a Delegated Administrator.
Note: If you re not sure whether your organization already has a Delegated Administrator and you do not want to become the Delegated Administrator, then stop your registration process and identify the right person in your organization to assume this role. If you requested to be a Delegated Administrator, but your organization already has another Delegated Administrator, then your request will be forwarded to that person for approval.
4. Delegated Administrator Request Form To ensure secure signup, please enter a contract number that entitles you to the Smart Net Total Care service. A smart-entitled contract can be one of the following contract types: SMARTnet which is now Smart Net Total Care, SP Base, TelePresence Essential Operate or Solution Support. The contract number provided should be associated with the user s Cisco Account profile. Enter one serial number for a device covered under that contract. If the device is not covered under the same contract an error will be shown. If you need help to associate a contract to your profile, refer to the post How can I associate a contract to my Cisco.com. The Submit button becomes active when the contract and device serial number have been validated. 5. Verify Email Address Page:
As part of the registration process, we validate the user s email address. By verifying the email address, we can be assured that you can receive all notifications regarding your onboarding process. An account with personal email domain address will be flagged as an error and you will be required to update your profile with a corporate email address. If you do not receive the verification email, you may click on resend verification. If you still did not receive verification email, kindly check your spam folder for the email. 6. Receive Verification Email Upon receiving the email, click on the unique link provided in the email. 7. Submit Your Request:
You have completed the Step 1 of your registration process and your request will be submitted for processing. Please allow up to one business day to complete processing. Step 2: Validate the User A Cisco agent will perform additional validations to ensure a secure onboarding. The first person to go through the on-boarding process will be nominated as the Delegated Administrator. If your organization already has a Delegated Administrator, your request will be forwarded to the existing Delegated Administrator for approval. Your organization s Delegated Administrator will also be notified of your request and he/she can grant you access to the portal. Step 3: Accept Terms and Conditions After the processing is complete, you will receive two email notifications as shown below. Email #1: Accept Delegated Administrator Terms & Conditions The first email provides a link to the Cisco Services Access Management tool. This tool provides a way for you to review and accept the terms and conditions for becoming a Delegated Administrator for your organization.
Below is a screenshot, when you log into to the Cisco Service Access Management tool. Please click on "Review Legal Agreement." Email #2: Access to Portal Granted
The second email contains a link to the Smart Net Total Care portal. This Welcome Email confirms your access to the portal and also identifies your role. By default all Delegated Administrators are assigned a Customer Administrator role in the portal. The Customer Administrator role authorizes you to perform file upload and other administration activities within the portal. You can login to the portal using your CCO user ID and password. This completes the Self-Service Onboarding process and you now have access to the Smart Net Total Care portal. For more information visit "New to Smart Net Total Care" page on the community or refer to the "Self-Service Onboarding FAQ". Once you ve completed this process, the next step will be to log into the portal and get familiar with its features and capabilities. The next blog in this series will
provide an Introduction to the Smart Net Total Care Portal to show you some of the key capabilities. Also, please share your thoughts and questions with me below or on the discussion forum. This community offers a means for you to participate in the evolution of this onboarding process. We d like to make the process as smooth as possible for you, so please let us know what worked well and any suggestions for improvement. Aravind Vincent Product Management Smart Net Total Care
