1 Programme syllabus for Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, 300 ECTS credit points (Civilingenjör i maskinteknik, 300 credits) 1. Decision A decision to establish the study programme was made by the Board of Governors at Blekinge Institute of Technology 2002-10-07. Responsibility for this programme lies within the School of Engineering. The programme syllabus was established by the Study Programmes Board of Blekinge Institute of Technology 2011-02-23 and applies to students admitted in the autumn term 2011. Programme code: MTACI 2. Entry Requirements For admission to the study programme Specific Entry Requirements no. 9 apply: Mathematics E, Physics B and Chemistry A. 3. Higher Education Qualification The programme consists of both first cycle and second cycle studies and leads up to a higher education qualification at second cycle with the description. Degree of Master of Science in Engineering: Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Innovative and Sustainable Product Development or Degree of Master of Science in Engineering: Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Applied Mechanics. Equivalent descriptions in Swedish are Civilingenjörsexamen i maskinteknik med inriktning mot innovativ och hållbar produktutveckling or Civilingenjörsexamen i maskinteknik med inriktning mot tillämpad mekanik. The possibility is also given to choose an alternative third year and so earn a first cycle qualification with the description
