In this topic, you will learn the steps to create a digital signature in Adobe Acrobat and submit the form via email. These steps are designed for use with Adobe Acrobat X. Other versions of Adobe Acrobat may have slightly different steps to create a digital signature. 1. Open Adobe Acrobat and click on the Tools menu item. Page 2
2. Click the Sign & Certify tree item. Step 3. Click the More Sign & Certify dropdown button to activate the menu. Page 3

7. Click the A new digital ID I want to create now option. Page 6

10. Enter the desired information into the Name field. For the purposes of this example, enter "Joe User". Page 8

13. You can change the location of the saved digital signature if desired. Otherwise leave the default location as is. Page 10

16. If you do not see the Confirm Password field on your screen, there may be an issue with your computer resolution that is preventing you from seeing the text. Hit Tab on your keyboard which should place you in the Confirm Password field and enter your desired password again. Page 12

20. Now you can digitally sign any Adobe Acrobat PDF document. For the purposes of this example, we will use a sample form to sign electronically using our newly created digital signature. Page 15
